"Imagine how awesome it would be to own a ship." Logan quizzed as they sat in the desolate cafe.
The walls used to hold paper over them, now shredded into an aged brick surface. On one wall stood a shelf of mugs from places the owner had visited in his youth. On the bar stood more mugs that people had gifted old Rick. Behind the counter was Rick's granddaughter mixing drinks, she was a chipper young girl, the younger sister of Aklin, Rose Lightwood.
"A ship would be costly, plus Aklin would think its stupid." Byrin grumbled twirling a dagger gracefully between his fingers.
"Aklin thinks everything is stupid Bee. He thinks women wearing pants is stupid whats your reasons?" Rose called out from behind the counter. Her blonde hair was dont up in a low bun, kissing the back of her neck. From what the two men could tell she was fitted in a lean brown vest over a white blouse, tucked into a matching pair of trousers and belt.
"Aklin is the hero of the town, shall we always belittle him when not here?" Logan mentioned, checking his watch for the tenth time in thirty minutes. The worry creased his forehead and darkened the hope in his eyes.
Behind him Byrin and Rose had both spotted Aklin, his blonde hair swept up behind his ears as he talked with a woman at the neighboring shop. Elena Blackrud was the woman's name, she owned the shop, a flower dispensary for the two to gain rare and almost extinct flowers and pollen. She held a high bargen on all her products making her drip with copious amounts of wealth.
It was common knowledge to the village town she held all of the power in town. She controlled the black market, even selling to the witch ports with her skills. In result Aklin had begun to seek her skills to aid in their quests. After their first meeting Rose and Byrin had begun to suspect something intruding on the relationship of Aklin and Logan. It started with them catching slight glances between the two, then moved onto secret meetings the two found out about. It was in these meetings that Byrin learned of the affair, and in which Rose and he were sworn to secrecy on the matter.
Now three years later the two had grown more public with their affair, and Logan had no idea. In this matter Byrins and Rose grew to walk on eggshells and remove themselves from the relationships slowly, starting with ignoring all of the passing attempts of romance Logan produced around them aimed at Aklin. It was at that point in time they knew they were in deep.
