The area was unknown to the two men. Crystal casums kissed the looming ceiling, with blue and clear crystals kissing its body. On one wall near the untouched door stood a yellow spherical crystal edged into the wall. To the right of the door stood a brass cage, tall reaching seven foot tall, and three foot wide on all sides. Placed unconscious inside was Logan, unaware of his surroundings, or how he got there. Across from him stood a more jagged wall with bars wrapped around a deep indent. Behind these bars laid Byrin, equally unconscious, dripping in and out of his sleep.

By then the cave had grown darker, dreadful in the upcoming events the two men would bear witness too. A man soon made his entrance into the room, his blond hair drawn behind his head with a tie. Aklin grinned greedily, eyeing the gem with hunger. He paid no mind to the unconscious Logan, ignoring the fact he was even there.

His hands graced over the gems rugged cover. The power flickered around his fingers, lightning tickling his fingertips tips. His eyes turned a ravenous yellow as he began to tug the gem out of the wall. With one last tug he ripped it from its holder, the crack screamed around the walls, waking the two men in a hurry.

"Where are we? Aklin, where are we?" Logan worriedly stood up, grasping at the bars. A rumbling emitted from the ground as the witch walked into the room.

"This is the test dear Logan. Aklin, you shall make a choice. That Yellow Gem will give you unlimited power. There is a backlash on this deal though. You take it, and your lover and best friend will suffer. What will you choose?" They calmly explained flicking a crystal pebble at the gem.

The simple action began an avalanche of cause. The ground began to rumble and crack, causing Byrin to let out a blood curdling scream. His hands were beginning to burn, turning a dark maroon shade.

"Aklin! Put it back, please it hurts!" His voice was graveled, etched with hurt and cries.

The man holding the gem ignored him, his eyes fixed on the item. His arms began to glow, illuminating the room around them. With every crack that grew on the body of the room the other two mens also changed. Dark brown fur began to grow overtop of Logan's clear skin, crippling the man onto his knees.

"Aklin, Don't do this, save us. Put the gem back please!" Logan gurgled a hurt scream. Soon blood dripped along his head, sharp horns cut through his scalp.

"Save yourselves, this power is mine, I don't need you anymore. I'm so powerful. I'm god!" the man insanely screamed, his voice rattled out into a growl. Soon the glowing light erupted over the man's body as he screeched out in joy.

The roof began to crumble. Large chunks crushed onto the ground around the people. The witch had all but vanished from the area, their presence having never made a dent in the room. From their cells the two men tried to escape the debris in their areas. The back of Byrin's cell slowly caved in on the man as he tried to nurse his burning hands. He was shoved against the bars that were beginning to tilt into the open room.

The blonde man rushed out of the room as the roof continued to cave in, the glow blooming larger and brighter, consuming his whole body. The building collapsed on to the men inside as the hero made his way into the open air outside. His skin now laced with gold lightning flickers tattooed into his body. His eyes showed a gold color, unhinged and desperate for power.
