How are we supposed to know what real love looks like when we have patriarchal ideals sewn into our brains? We have to undo them and break this standard of living that's been shaped for us. It's a sad and unfortunate reality that the people around most of us don't seem to recognise that the world they're brought into, has been designed for men. Serve them. Be submissive. Be nonexistent unless needed.
Maybe if we knew this earlier we wouldn't have created unequal dynamics where love should have been equal. Take down the building blocks and build new ones. Maybe the reason so many people fall apart, is because we didn't know to break out the roles that's been given to us; so we fail to recognise each other's needs and wants, on top of not knowing how to communicate them.
