Chapter 2

Fits Jumped up and ran over to Sophie who sat there in shock. He helped her get up as she cryed to see one of the things she loved from her old life- destroyed. Fitz and Sophie went into a tight hug as she cried on his shoulder. Fitz picked the note up after a while, and read -The dark will Rise under your self pity, so stop the moping and go defend- They stood there in disbelief and confusion.

They called Alden over and he rushed there as fast as he could. "Dad, this note was under her bed and it pulled a trigger which made her ipod break into bits--- but the confusing thing was, Sophie couldn't use her telepath powers to stop it." "Oh no, this isn't good, Sophie, what I want you to do is try and read my mind, and try your hardest" Alden partially scolded. "Okay.." she mumbled and got to her feet. She tried so hard to go through his unblocked mind but, nothing happened, she couldn't get a single word.

"You're fall may have caused temporary but long power absence" Elwin said in a daze. "I'm sorry but, you won't be able to use any of your powers. This fall caused serious damage. It's probably about 3 months before you get your powers back. I don't know what else to do, I did what I could and it wasn't enough."

Fitz, Bianna, and Keefe barrelled their way in and Fitz demanded to know if Sophie was okay. "I'm fine guys, but, I won't be able to use any of my powers for three months." Sophie said with a sigh. "approximately 3 months, maybe less, maybe more." Elwin corrected. Keefe wandered over to her and kneeled down. "Hey Foster, sorry you go through all this pain, I honestly feel really bad, but you're no doubt, the coolest person I've ever met." He finished as they both started blushing. Fitz kneeled down next to Keefe and said "Yeah, I agree with Keefe, by far, coolest person ever." he said and instead of blushing, they all laughed, including Bianna. "Sophie, you better be okay for the next time you come hang out at my house!" Bianna demanded.

When Sophie returned home Dex visited her to see if she was okay. "Sorry I couldn't make it to visit you earlier, i've just been busy helping my dad. I hope you can-" he let out before Sophie stopped him and responded "No, It's fine, Fitz and Biana were in there for a long time anyway, it would've been pointless. He narrowed his eyes at their names and she could tell he didn't like that. "Anyway Sophie, you really need to more careful, but I have to go, see you around!" He shouted before leaving.

Sophie got up out of her bed and played with Iggy for a while, and then decided to go to bed. That night she dreamt of sweet smells and cities, but being humiliated in front of tons of people who laughed and stared, the clouds got darker and then there was huge storm. She woke up in a gasp as the horror in the dream filled her mind.

She recorded her dream and told Alden about it when she went to their house. After her and Alden talked she went and had a makeover with Bianna. They dressed each other up and did makeup also. She walked downstairs to go home then bumped into Fitz. "Sorry, i'm so sorry i didn't mean to!-" She exclaimed but was stopped as Fitz said it was fine and told her to ignore it. When she left the gate before she could go home Keefe came over and started talking to her. "Look, Sophie about the other day when you were in bed because you hurt yourself" he started "I just,.. I meant it as a,..." he muttered. "It's fine Keefe I understand, you're my friend" She said with a smile. Keefe turned and faced her, he locked eyes with her and stepped forward.

He wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her before she could fight back.
