The following day, Sophie awoke and prepared herself to leave packing everything she thought she might need for her journey. Things like extra clothes and extracts Elwin had made for her in case something went wrong. Her bag was big and really heavy, and Sophie wasn't entirely sure how it would get by Edaline and Grady with out them questioning. As she walked around her room, Vertina appeared on the mirror.

"Sophie what are you doing? Why are you packing so much of this stuff for school?" Vertina questioned.

Sophie froze, "uhmmmm..." she wasn't quite sure how to respond, would Vertina try to stop her? "I'm going to see if I can spend the night at Biana's house tonight, and am just being extra cautious...." she lied.

"Uh-huh.... Is that so? Then why are you packing before you even know if you can spend the night?" Vertina pressed on, she knew something else was up with Sophie.

"Fine," Sophie gave in, "I'll tell you the truth, but you have to promise not to tell anyone what I'm doing." Sophie pleaded.

"Hmmmm... Okay, fine. I promise I won't tell anyone, now what are you planning?" Vertina raised one of her digital eye brows in curiosity.

"Dex found a hidden message from the Blackswan in my Ipod, and they want me to leave, so I am.. and I'm going with my friends." Sophie explained becoming unsure about leaving. She thought to herself that she must though, the Blackswan has sent her out on a journey and she trusts them.

"Okay, but before you go downstairs to Edaline and Grady with that brick of a bag.... you may want to ask them if you can spend the night at the Vackers' house, prior." Vertina Suggested

"Omg!" Sophie exclaimed, "That's a good idea! Thank you so much!" Sophie dropped her bag and raced down the stairs to the smell of Edaline's home made breakfast, which to her surprise reminded her of pancakes and bacon.

Sophie sat down at the table full of nicely prepared and brightly colored vegetables and other types of plants, just as Edaline finished assorting it all. She called Grady from the front door, and inside he came.

"Hey, I was wondering if I could spend the night at Biana's house tonight, if it's okay with her parents too." Sophie asked them.

They glanced at each other, and Edaline spoke, "It's okay with me, as long as it's okay with Grady and them." She smiled at Sophie, and Grady nodded his head in agreement.

"Fine by me too" He said.

"Great! Thanks guys!" She said, but her heart dropped to the ground when she remembered that's not really what she was doing, she was sneaking away, and probably wouldn't see them for a while to come. She hid how she felt though, she didn't want her parents to become suspicious of her.

After she was done eating, Sophie rushed upstairs to her bedroom, wanting to call Biana and tell her about what the "plan" for tonight was.

"Hey Sophie! What's up?" She said, "Are you ready for today?" Biana then asked in a hushed voice.

"Yeah, I asked my parents if I could spend the night at your house tonight, so that's where they think I'll be, at least only for tonight." Sophie explained.

"Okay, that's good, I guess... I mean my parents will still wonder where I am... Maybe I'll ask them if I can stay at your house so it buys us a little bit more time since our parents all think we're at each others house? I'll also ask for Fitz." Biana said.

"Sounds good, I'll tell Dex to tell his parents he's at my house, and Keefe can too if he wants. Bye Biana!"

"Bye Sophie!" they hung up.
