Chapter 3

Sophie's first thought when is soft, smooth, and charming lips were on hers, that she loved him, but she didn't love him that much, it was Fitz she truly loved. When he let go he looked her in the eyes and stood there silent. "Keefe!!" She shouted. "what on earth was that!?" "I don't know, mainly because I've never heard someone say that." Keefe replied."Okay obviously it's an expression from humans because I lived there and I said earth but, WHY'D YOU DO THAT? Edaline and Grady are probably worrying their heads off why I haven't returned yet and I'm here trying to find out why you just kissed me." She explained. "Sorry I just, didn't know what to say and Sophie, you probably don't love me like that but, I do." He said as they both started blushing. "Okay fine but, promise me you'll never do that again." Sophie asked. "Okay I promise, IF you promise not to get hurt anymore!" He said as she started walking away.

She turned around looked at him and walked back up to him. She looked straight in his eyes and gave him another lip to lip kiss. Then said "I'll try" and walked away to go home. The last thing she saw was Keefe standing there in dismay.

She returned home to a "There you are! Where have you been? You said you'd make it in time for dinner! That was 30 minutes ago!" "Yeah, sorry, me and uh, Keefe were talking before I left." Sophie answered. Grady sighed and said "Well try not to talk so long next time or tell him not to stop you before you get home." "Yeah, okay sorry, I'll try not to be so late next time." She said as she stumbled up the stairs with her dinner.

She lie down on her bed and ate. Iggy came and laid down right next to her legs and fell fast asleep. She stroked him as she ate and he gave cute little purring like noises. She finished her dinner and got ready for bed. She finished and lie down back in her bed, but to go to sleep this time.

When she woke up she didn't know what to do so she got up and took her shattered ipod over to Dex's house to see if he could fix it again. When she arrived at Slurps and Burps, like always, it belched when she entered. She greeted Kesler and went to go see Dex. When she got to Dex, and Dex saw the ipod he screamed "What happened to it!!" Sophie flinched and told him what happened. "So I thought maybe you could fix it again? I'm sorry, my telepath powers weren't working. He frowned and said "Nah its fine it wasn't your fault, and yes, I can fix it. I'd be happy too."

After Dex took all the bits and pieces she and him went back to Havenfield together. "So, Sophie, Hows your head since you tripped?" Dex wondered. "Oh I'm fine, but sometimes I get headaches." She replied. As she was walking into her house she tripped over the door step and again hitting her head. Dex screamed "SOPHIE!! Oh no! are you okay!!?" Rushing her into the Havenfield house.

When she woke up she was in her room lying on her bed and Iggy was sleeping on her stomach. Alden entered the room and asked "Sophie you okay? You hit your head pretty hard." "Yeah I'm fine but... something feels like my human life, can't quite..." She muttered. Sophie gasped as all her friends entered the room.

"Guys, I can hear all of your thoughts without trying." Sophie said, very stunned.
