Chapter 4

"Oh no, thats not good Sophie" Alden said bewildered. as she examined the room she heard all their thoughts, mostly they were shocked and embarrassment thoughts but, she could tell that part of it was the secrets of love, she knew it was mostly from Keefe. She was shocked though to find out that Fitz too had feelings for her, she hid a blush when she heard his thoughts but he was trying his hardest to hide them.

Biana's thoughts were worried thoughts, she really did care for sophie, that made Sophie happy. Dex's thoughts were pain, worried, and caring. She could only make part of it though, all; the thoughts were beginning to get noisy and when she tried to cancel the noise out like how she does with humans, it didn't work.

Alden got Elwin and he dashed into the room when he arrived at Havenfield. They told Elwin what happened and Elwin came up next to her with all his tools. He took something out she'd never seen before, he called it the Brushover. He said the Brushover tries to examine what's going on with someones powers but, it wasn't working. SO he insisted she take a painkiller and get some rest.

After that Elwin told everyone to leave so she could sleep and wouldn't get headaches from all the noise. So everyone but Fitz did as Elwin told and left. Fitz came up to her and looked into her eyes. As she locked eyes with Fitz her heart did the fluttery thing it always did.

"Sophie.., you really need to stop hurting yourself, especially since it's your head most often." Fitz told her. "I know I keep saying I'll try but I just can't stop myself sometimes." Sophie answered. As she was talking to Fitz she could tell he was trying to block. Though, it wasn't very useful because she could still hear all his thoughts loud and clear. She was smiling when she heard his thoughts say "I really want to tell her.. but, i'm scared." She knew exactly what he wanted to tell her, but she also couldn't believe it. "Fitz, the cutest boy in school, loves her, the weirdest girl in school" She thought to herself.

"Sophie I really need to tell you something." He said to her. "Yes Fitz, what is it?" Sophie questioned her heart pounding harder than it ever had before. "Well, um, uh- I just, I really, I want to- Are you okay? because you go through a lot of pain and trauma, and I'm sorry for you. She felt like her heart stopped, like she was going to die any minute. She knew what he really wanted to tell her- but he didn't. "Oh, yeah yeah, I'm fine, I'm better than fine I'm great!" She said kind of confused at her own words. She felt stupid, she wasn't even fine, what was she saying?

"Good" Fitz said walking out of the room. "WAIT! Don't leave yet Fitz I need to tell you something too." She shouted before he could fully leave. "Fitz I uh, I can hear your thoughts, I know what you really wanted to say. I'm sorry, but blocking didn't really work. He looked at her with cherry red cheeks, wide eyes and shocked.

"ahh," Sophie started "I know you love me Fitz." She said as he closed his eyes and crossed his fingers, but hearing this made him open his eyes and un-clutch his fingers. "I was really hoping you couldn't hear my thoughts, and for a while I actually thought you couldn't" He said not sure what else to reply. "No, Fitz I'm sorry its not your fault I can read your thoughts..." She stopped as Fitz said "Yes Sophie, it actually kind of is, I know I wasn't with you but I still should have caught you the other time you fell, I watching you, and its weird because, your saying sorry for being able to read my mind, and I'm saying its my fault." He said frustrated "You probably hate me now right? Go ahead slap me, I'm sorry i wasn't a better friend." He muttered. "FITZ! I'm not going to slap you! Why would I slap you because you love me!?" She shouted at him.

"Wait, so you're not mad..?" He said dazed. No, why would i be mad its not like you punched me, and I need to not be so clumsy. Fitz its okay, I always get afraid you think I'm stupid, but here you are t=acting the same way I feel about myself." She explained "and, Fitz, I need to tell you that, I like you too" She finished.

He froze when he heard her say that. "You, you, you like me- too?" Fitz stammered. Then once again, she knew the moment was coming, the lock eyes, step forward, tight hug, then BAM the kiss.

She got out of her bed and stood in front of him when they locked eyes he stepped forward, tightened his arms around her waist as she did the same to his neck, and she knew it exactly.

The next amazing step, felt like a hard swoosh of wind that knocked them off their feet, but could it be? It actually did... They both fell and hit the ground hard.

The last thing she remembered was Grady and Edaline rushing up to them and calling Elwin back in. The next minute was a blur that flashed off into a dark, dark, state of being.s there, I was watching
