Chapter 1

She was in a dazzy blur when she woke up. Everything twirled around her as she came back to reality. She faintly heard someone calling her name and her vision was coming back. she saw a blur of a dark haired person with beautiful blue eyes looking down on her saying "Sophie! Sophie! you okay there?" She sat up and examined her surroundings. The blurr she saw a minute ago was Fitz. Keefe was standing next to the door and she saw Dex peeking his head through the door, but scowling at Fitz.

Elwin came up to her and made her take medicine. Alden was sitting calmly watching her from a distance with a slight worried expression on his face. As she turned back towards Elwin she asked "What happened?" and it was silent for a minute. Then finally Fitz responded "You fell and hurt your head pretty hard on the ground." "The ground?" Sophie mumbled. "Yes you were going to the crystal to get home when you tripped over a crack in the ground and hit your head on a rock.

"Oh, well... Ow.., I guess" Sophie stammered. Fits gave her an angry look and said "Ow!? You could've died!" As everyone turned and glared at her with worried looks she said "Sorry, I don't know what to say." Fitz sighed and apologized for being so harsh.

She got out of the bed and wobbled for a minute until Fitz balanced her. Dex seeing this slammed the door shut. Fitz let go of Sophie as she steadied herself and walked towards the door and everyone followed her out, Fitz close to her incase she needed extra support.

The next day she got out of bed and went downstairs to a ready breakfast. Grady sat her down and told her "Sophie we want you to stay home today, you hit your head pretty hard, but we are going to be really busy today so Fitz offered to watch you." "Doesn't Fitz have school too though?" Sophie questioned. "Yes but he has been allowed the day off school for volunteering to help you" Edaline told Sophie.

Sophie didn't know if she was ready to be able and face Fitz near her all day, because she obviously had a crush on him and she couldn't stand looking straight into his eyes for more than a second. Though, there wasn't much she could do because he already appeared at the door with Grady and Edaline allowing him in.

"Hey Fitz, thanks for coming to look over me today" She said hiding a blush. "No, its fine I'd give anything to help you" He said giving a slight look like he regretted saying it. "Oh, well thats nice to know" She said as her cheeks turned as red as a strawberry.

"So uh, how about we go up to your room?" Fitz said as Sophie wobbled out of her chair. "Sounds good, lets go" She said wanting to get out of this awkward shadow.

"Keefe told me it looked like you were trying to run away from something the other night when you hit your head" Fitz blurted out as they got to Sophie's room. "No, just in a rush to get home, why?" Sophie mummbled petting Iggy. "No reason, just wondering." Fitz said trying to hide a light blush.

As Sophie layed on her bed , she shoved her slippers under the bed then heard a crinkling noise. She quickly got up to check it, but when she pulled it, it tugged on something. She heard a noise come from above her and looked up. Over her head was her ipod. She quickly tried to use her telekinesis and stop the fall, but something went wrong. She couldn't stop it and she watched it fall and crack apart and shatter everywhere.
