Chapter 10

"Sophie" a voice behind them appeared. Sophie and all her friends turned to face Elwin awaiting them with a stern look on his face telling them he heard what they said.

Elwin walked over to them, "I won't say anything to Grady about this, but before you do go, Let me at least tell you about what's wrong and give you your medicine." He said.

"Thank you! Okay, guys lets meet up after school tomorrow, by..." She paused, "Elwin's office." She saw Elwin roll his eyes.

Keefe smirked, "Alright, smart choice. Well, I gotta go now, see you later guys." He opened the door and left, with Fitz and Biana (can't remember who's there and I'm too lazy to go check) following behind after saying goodbye.

"Oh right, here is your Ipod Sophie, it's fixed. Well, I should get going now too, bye!" Dex said and left after Sophie took the Ipod and said goodbye.

Elwin grabbed Sophie's shoulder, "Alright Miss Foster, let me give you your medication over here and explain it." He said, and she obeyed following Elwin into the kitchen.

They sat down at the table, and Elwin pulled out a bunch of pills and liquids from his bag. Great. A ton of medicine for her friends, mainly Keefe, to taunt her about.

Elwin organized the pile, putting some back into his bag leaving just 3 piles of medication. He pushed one towards her, "These should be taken when you wake up, once a day each." He explained as she took the pills. "They are designed to quickly melt in your mouth," Elwin paused, "and I made them specifically to taste like mallowmelt with the help of Edaline's recipe." He whispered.

Sophie smiled at this, and Elwin shoved the next pile towards her, "Now these liquids should be taken every night, poor some to fill up this little tube" Elwin pointed to a small glass vile, "and that is one serving, you drink that much of each medicine a night."

"What are these medicines supposed to do?" Sophie asked Elwin.

"The pills  help keep your brain and powers on track, so eventually it'll help you take control over when you read someone's thoughts again." Elwin explained, "And the liquids help settle your brain and organize your thoughts properly, which relaxes you."

Sophie looked at him with wide eyes, "Soooo, sedatives in other words?" She asked.

Elwin sighed, "Yes and no Sophie. Sedatives to help calm the mind and help you sleep, but an overdose of this doesn't hurt you, or make you feel bad in anyway that sedatives do, it would just make you extremely sleepy, or if more than even that is taken, it could make you sleep all day, but you are smart enough to know the correct amount."

Sophie squinted her eyes at him, but finally gave in and took the pills from him, "fiinnnneeeeee"

"Good," Elwin said with a smile, "I should get going now that I've done my job, I hope you all the luck with your quest and will be expecting you tomorrow." He said and walked to the door.

Sophie looked up and managed a, "bye" before Elwin left.

Now Sophie had to go get ready to leave Grady and Edaline, and some of her friends at school, and everyone else she knows and has a connection to.

Sorry it took forever for a single short chapter, I haven't been in the writing mood lately, I wrote achapter for The Black Swan Prophecy, but that was the wrong KOTLC Fanfic, more people wanted me to update this one, and I meant to write more for this chapter, but most of this was already written from the first week of winter break, s d then I just stopped writing and started playing animal crossing and watching YouTube videos all day, and on the last week I didn't have any internet because I was on a cruise.
