Jack groaned when he woke up.

Guilt instantly hit him when he realized that he woke up before Evan and his groan was loud.

The anxiety of the day's events woke him up earlier than he anticipated.

Once he was done, he quietly walked out of the room to the Sky Deck.

There were elderly people out on the Sky Deck, eating breakfast and talking to each other.

Jack aimlessly walked around the cruise ship until at least one of his friends woke up and came out onto the Sky Deck.

"Morning, Jack," Mr. Mosbey greeted Jack at the check-in lobby.

"Oh," Jack said, surprised, "morning, sir."

"What are you doing up?" the manager asked. "Can't sleep?"

"It's my last day here," Jack reminded him. "I just..."

"How are you feeling?"

"I... I don't know," Jack said. "I'll miss being here."

"I'm sure your friend will miss you too," Mr. Mosbey said.

"Based on what we did yesterday, I hope so," Jack said.

"I really wish you could at least finish the rest of the year here."

"Me too," Jack said. "Unfortunately, there is nothing I can do about it."

"Unfortunately," Mr. Mosbey agreed.

"I... uh... I'm going to go eat breakfast," Jack said.

"Enjoy breakfast," Mr. Mosbey said.

"Thank you, sir," Jack said.

Jack walked back to the Sky Deck to have breakfast.

He sat down at a table and rubbed his forehead, looking down at the menu. There were plenty of options he could choose from, but he couldn't bring himself to choose something.

"Hey," Evan greeted Jack.

"Hm?" Jack looked up at Evan. "Oh, hey."

Evan sat across the table from Jack.

"How are you feeling?" Evan asked.

"Alright, I guess," Jack shrugged.

Evan looked at Jack, sympathetically.

"What are you going to get?" Jack asked Evan.

"Um," Evan said.

Jack pushed his menu to Evan to take a look.

"I think... uh..." Evan scanned the menu, "pancakes, I guess."

"I guess I'll get that too," Jack said.
