Bakugou's POV

Why did she... she promised me she... they would make it out alive. Why?! Why couldn't I have been stronger and saved them? I needed to save her.

Idiot, where the fuck are you?

~~
It was after the sports festival; I had won, but not in the way I wanted to. Days had passed, I was still in a sour mood. Stupid Half n' Half bastard didn't give it his all. I don't understand why he's even here if he won't fight back. Is he mocking me?

I was angrier than usual. There was a new girl introducing herself to class. I didn't pay much attention because I was busy in my thoughts and I didn't care about that extra. She was an extra—that's what I thought at first but when I first spoke to her, my perspective changed from being an Extra to her being a half-assed girl.

I'd yell at her, insult her in hope of getting her to use her quirks on me. Yeah, just like Icyhot she had two quirks. On top of that they seemed to be best buds. It sickened me.

"I don't understand why you're even here. You don't even fucking try." I tell her as she had bumped into me, in the hallway.

Her flawless face; always smiling, bright eyes, sweet voice –all of that had vanished. She had an dark aura around her as she hissed out, "It's not your problem, I've apologized about bumping into you, now will you kindly step aside."

"You think you're so much better than everyone huh?"

She scoffed, "Is that what you think? If so, you need glasses Bakugou. Odd, I expected you of all people to have figured out this..." she pointed at herself, "isn't worth considering rival material. I'm not looking to be a top hero. You on the other hand, I know will reach that far, you're talented and powerful. Just tone that arrogance and temper down and you'll be like All Might."

Her words left me speechless back then. It was then where I became oddly interested in why she had said that about me figuring her out. As more time passed I eventually did, her politeness was a façade. For what reason? I didn't know. Why was she here if she didn't want to be a hero? Someone forced her. But who? I didn't know that either.

My insults towards her had stopped when I saw her breaking; she admitted to not wanting to become a hero. Even that Icyhot bastard stepped in to protect her. It was then when I realized she was in so much pain, that she was bottling everything in her.

I told her what I thought, it might've been rude. Hell, it was rude and yet she took it into motivation and advice. No other girl would've, but she did. And little did I know those words had changed her, they had managed to set her free even for just a little.

Eventually we became friends. I don't even remember when I started caring for her. Vowed I would protect her. She inspired that part of me I didn't know existed. She was like a little sister to me. But now... she's gone...

~~

A ceremony was held in her honor. As if that's going to bring her back.

There's no moment where I didn't think why she hadn't come back with Touya. Speaking of him, I know that guy is related to Icyhot. It didn't take much to figure out, after hearing Icyhot talk to Deku and me, he explained how she ended up like his eldest brother who was dead.

He also mentioned the name Touya and it all clicked. I didn't bother telling Icyhot his brother was Airhead's boyfriend, there wasn't any point. Icyhot didn't need to suffer more than has already.

The ceremony ended within a few hours, Shitty Hair tried putting his hand on my shoulder telling me to calm my aggressiveness down but I shook it off.

I marched straight to my room not bothering to hear what the others were saying. What can you say at this point? Just reminisce about the person and say 'I'm sorry for your loss' that's bullshit, none of those things fixes anything! Nothing does!

I slammed the door and sank onto the floor. I silently cried with anger. I was at total loss. I didn't know what to do with my emotions. I sighed angrily as I ran my hand through my hair.

I was about to throw myself on the bed when I caught something white showing on my pillow. What the fuck is that? I rapidly went and saw it was some sort of envelope. It was also addressed to me.

Wiping my tears away and tore the envelope open. The second I did that, I saw that name...I felt my lungs being left without air. I couldn't believe what I was reading...

'Dear Dynamight,

You must be mad. Hell you might even be exploding shit just to try to calm your anger down, right? Better not, don't go bothering Izuku either, okay?

I-.... I'm sorry. You must think I broke our promise. But Katsuki, things sometimes don't happen as planned. I'm really sorry for causing you pain. However, things had to end like they did.

You'll understand someday. Listen, I'm thankful for what you did! You're just as amazing as I thought you were, you're totally the hero I imagined you'd be. Thank you for everything. For being there to motivate me, giving me the real truth not sugarcoated ones. I'm glad to have met you. You'll always be the King Explosion Murder.

Also about Dabi or should I say Touya... knowing you, you probably might've guessed who he actually is by now since you're like super smart. Knowing you, you probably kept this a secret as well.

In other words, Touya and I are thankful to you. He says you're not an annoying hero which means he respects you. He's sorry about what happened. Please take care Katsuki.

Sincerely your friend, Airhead and Touya'

Special/Notes: Bakugou felt less guilty after reading (Y/N)'s letter. He has a feeling she's alive somewhere...

Daisuke's POV

I still recall those wonderful times. The way she would sing, the way people would gaze at her and say how her voice soothed them along with the alcoholic beverage I'd serve them. Little by little, we became like family. Then after Shoto and even Dabi arrived we were one huge happy family. There was laughter, smiles, great times... and yet now they're nothing but memories.
