His cold hand carefully touched the rosy mark left on my cheek. We were in my room, I had teleported us there since no one was home; the maids were asleep and my father was on patrol. I sighed tiredly as I avoided eye contact with Shoto as he iced my cheek.
"You know when you asked me if I would ice your cheeks I didn't think I would be icing a slap mark." Shoto sighed concerned. "(Y/N) who did this to you? Was it him? Did he hit you?"
I slowly nodded. "Yeah." There was no denying it now.
He stood up rapidly, his left hand was bursting with flames. To say he was angry was an understatement. "He has no right to hit you. I swear (Y/N) the only reason I'm not burning or freezing him to death is because you told me not to."
"And you know why."
"I know but if he doesn't tell you now, what makes you think he'll tell you later? You getting beat up isn't worth it."
"It's the first time Shoto, I won't let it happen again. He caught me off guard this time. That's all."
"I hope so. But if he hits you again I swear..."
"I know Sho. Also, guess what. He told me a little bit more today, he made it seem like she was alive." I somewhat lie, honestly, that's what it seemed like but I could be wrong.
His eyes widened, "That's great (Y/N)!" he exclaimed. I nodded. Knowing Shoto he quickly caught on that something else had happened to obscure this tiny spark of joy. "Is there something else you're not telling me?"
"Ice my cheek some more?" I asked, with a feigned smile.
"Only if you tell me while I do it." he said. I nodded again.

Time Skip
After I explained the whole marriage thing to Shoto he was once again furious. Beyond that. "He can't force you (Y/N)." he loudly shouted. "You can't marry a guy you don't know and don't love."
"I know, but that why I got slapped in the first place. I stood up to him for the first time."
"I'm glad you did but..." his heterochromatic eyes became downcast, "I don't like seeing you get hurt. Now I know how you felt when I was at the hospital."
"Shoto." I grabbed both his hands, "You fought the hero killer and got more than a slap. Obviously I was going to worry."
He shrugged a bit, "I guess but that's not what I mean. I worry about you, you don't fight back physically, you're pretty much forced when sparring our classmates to hit back but otherwise you're too much of a pacifist."
"You know me too well Sho."
He proudly nodded, "Yes. Just like you know me."
"Yup." I yawned as I sluggishly leaned against him.
As I did so, "Nice dress." He commented nonchalantly.
I open one eye and laughed, "Thanks. You know, he said the same thing."
"Mystery Stalker? Or the fiancé?" Shoto asked confused.
"Mystery Stalker. Honestly, I'm telling you you're like long lost brothers." I smirk teasingly.
"With all the coincidences I'm beginning to think that too." He mutters pensively. "What if he's my old man's secret love child?"
"Oh my gosh Shoto! I'm kidding." Did he really just say that?
"I don't know (Y/N) it could be."
"Not this again..." I face palmed.
"I'm joking (Y/N)." he deadpans as he pinches my nose.
