Chapter-37

The sunsets, making the sky red.

Red is the color of love and the color of blood.

"Do you know someone says the sun sets and announce the end of the day? But some say that it set with the hope to start a new morning." He says.

"Can I also hope this sun will take all my pain and rise again with the new day of happiness?" I ask.

But he keeps silent.

I know there is no answer to my question.

How can he know what my after has written for me?

"Can I trust you?" I ask and he looks at me.

"Do you want to trust me?" he asks and I nod.

He stands up and cleans his cloth which has smeared with sand.

He holds his hand to me, and I stand up.

I pat my clothes to clean the sand from mine.

I thought he will answer my question.

But he takes me somewhere.

He takes me to a boat and it starts to go toward the sea.

When it was a few meters away from the sea it stop.

We are standing on the deck.

He comes to the knee and pulls out a ring.

"You want to know if you can trust me?" he asks and I nod.

"This ring is the promise I am giving you. This ring's color can fade away. But my love will never fade away." He looks at the sky.

"This sky color will change with time but my love will never change for you."

He looks at the sea.

"This sea can dry out of water. But love will never dry out," he says, and a tear drops from my eyes.

"I promise who far away we can be, you will always find me in your heart. If I ever forget this promise I swear on the god that will be the last day of my life." He says, and I hold his mouth to stop his word.

I don't ever want him to die.

I want him to stay with me and give me company until death does us apart.

I don't know what has future decided for me.

But I want to be with him till the moment there is love between us.

"Rehan, I don't want any promises. If I accept this ring, I just want one thing. Trust." He tries to say, but I cut him.

"I just only one promise. The day when your love will die you will not cheat me. You will tell me directly. Can you promise me that?" I ask.

He was looking at me surprisingly.

I know it is an odd thing to ask your partner, but I have learned one thing from life.

If you know your partner won't love you, it doesn't hurt that much.

But when you feel all your life is a lie it breaks you apart.

So I want that security from him.

The day we will be together we will because we love each other.

"I promise," he says and I nod.

I put my hand forward, and he put the ring on my hand.

We come forward and he places his forehead on mine.
