Chapter-27

One month later,

"Did the event management's people come? Where is the beautician? My wedding dress? Why I will have to handle everything?" I saw Lily running from here and there.

Seeing him I start to feel dizzy.

I can't see it anymore so I try to take it in my hand.

"Oh my god, will you please calm down?" I hold her shoulder and make her sit.

"No, Nyla. You are not understanding. I have to check that everything is perfect." She says but I press my finger in my lips and motion her to shut up.

I take a deep breath and tell her to do the same.

After taking it a few times she calms down a bit.

"Now listen. I have called the event manager they will start their work in the evening, The beautician will come early morning tomorrow, your dress will be here any minute. I have handled everything." She sighs.

"Nyla, I am sorry. I am troubling everyone." She says and starts to cry.

I know she is having wedding jitters. But I need to make her relax.

After all, tomorrow is her wedding and she needs to look beautiful.

"I know I am not a person who comes out as a best friend. But I promise I will make sure everything will be perfect tomorrow." I say and she wipes her tears.

"Don't you dare bad mouth about my friend?" She says and hugs me.

"I didn't mean to make you feel bad, but I am getting to..." She try to comfort me but I cut her off.

"I know. You are stressed. But I have handled everything. Now you need to take a rest because I want you to look beautiful tomorrow." I say and push her to bed.

She takes my hand and pats it.

"Now sleep. Your wedding will be perfect." I say and she nods.

She falls asleep in a minute.

I came to check Lily after an hour.

Her dress has arrived after alteration

But she was sleeping like a pig and I cover her with a blanket.

When I start to leave I hear her phone ring.

How she is sleeping like a child, I didn't want to disturb her sleep.

So I take her phone and come outside.

It was James who is calling.

"Hello, James, Nyla here," I say after receiving the call.

"Oh Nyla, where is Lily?" He asks.

"She is sleeping. So I didn't disturb her. She was very disturbed thinking about the wedding." I say.

"Did she disturb you a lot? You know how she becomes when she is tense." he tries to make me understand but I laugh.

"You said right. I know how she is. I understand you are going to be his husband. But she is my friend too." I say jokingly.

"I am sorry, Nyla. You know I didn't mean that. I..." He tries to say embarrassed.

"It's fine. You go to sleep. I will tell her that you called." I say and try to cut the call but he stopped me.

"Nyla."

"Yes," I reply.

"Thank you." He says and I become confused.

Why he is thanking me for?

"I know what happened between you and John and I know it's all his fault. But He is my cousin I couldn't cancel his invitation." He says.

I know he is feeling guilty.

But This matter doesn't disturb me anymore.

I have promised Lily that I will try to move on and I will do that for her.

"It doesn't matter. You don't have to feel guilty. I am fine. You don't need to thank me." I say.

Lily did argue with him about this matter.

But then I make her agree.

I know he is James's family.

It's important for him to invite John.

"Thanks. Though." He says.

After that, I cut the call.

Next day,

I am standing beside Lily as she will walk down the Isle a few moments later.

I and Tina is going to be her bridesmaid.

After coming from the resort Lily and Tina have become a good friends.

Even she and Sid is a friend now.

Sid is joining this wedding and Joe is also coming.

The music started to play and Lily walk down the aisle with his father.

I and Tina sit in the chair and see her getting married.

The wedding thing happened smoothly.

Lily leaves and comes back changing her dress for the party.

When I was going to congratulate Lily I saw a familiar face go forward to them before I reach there.

What is he doing there?

I think of congratulating her later but Lily called me.

"Hey, Nyla. Come here." She says and I couldn't avoid him.

That day after he proposed it is the first time I am seeing him.

I don't know how to face him.

But I know Lily will not leave me alone so I walk toward them.

"Nyla, meet my friend Rehan." James introduce me and I look at Lily confused.

"You forgot to tell you. Rehan, Sid, and James were in the same college." Lily says and I nod.

"You know each other?" James asks me but Rehan replies instead of me.

"Yes," He says.

"Good. You both will bond together well. Rehan also likes someone but she doesn't love him." James says and Lily nudges him by the elbow.

"Who told you all this?" Rehan asks angrily.

"Who else? Sid. You know he can't keep word to himself." James says laughing.

Lily glared at him and he shut up.

"Excuse me," I say and leave from there.

I know Sid.

He likes to gossip and as they are friends I am sure they will discuss such things.

But They were talking about me so I feel awkward.

And I also don't want to talk about this thing.
