As crazy as it is, it's my first time seeing Breaking Dawn Part 2, and while I never truly liked Twilight that much, this Aro Volturi character made me wanna read fanfics of twilight right now😍. So yeah, my updates will be slower for now.

I've added the story to my reading list of Highly Recommended. It's definitely a-mazing, you'll love it as well❤️

Carina continues rambling angrily, hitting the rock, throwing rocks, until she settled on making a balanced rock art. Angelo have never felt so uneasy in all his life, he didn't know that this kind of obvious cliché but perfect plan would blew up, neither had he been one for relationship talks with a girl so he should've expected failure in all that. Now Carina is vexing everything from skies to land with a plan to succumb herself on an unwanted marriage. Good thing it wasn't near planning on eloping with Angelo, that would've been awkward as hell for him.

"Look, you guys still obey your parents with this whole marriage thingy, right? Just tell them! Your little brother said so himself, didn't he?"

"I could, but it's... I doubt she'd want that," Carina topples over the tower of rocks she created, and she lets out a frustrated groan, "I doubt even the Madrigals would want that! And I doubt Bruno would even say that he's mutual about it and just hide like a friggin' rat lover he is!" She bites her lip to prevent from crying.

Angelo sighs, "At least try to express this to your family. I know it's hard, I also had a hard time expressing myself to my own, but being true to yourself would create less pile of regrets later on. Just get through with it. If it doesn't work, then I'll be here to lend another ear for you."

Carina looks at him with a raised brow, "Another?"

"There's a reason I have two. One is already bleeding right now," he playfully cleans his ears with a smile. She punches his shoulder, earning chuckles for both of them.

Haidi passes the plate to Julio and Julio passes it to Carina afterwards in their afternoon lunch. It's tense for some reason. Well, not really surprising since Carina had been disappearing to who knows where most of the time, Haidi could only hope that it was because she finally found someone to marry. Every other family is already having a grandchild or two, and Alma had just had two in a span of a year.

Carina glances at Julio who's been giving her a serious stare, she furrows her brows in a way of asking what is wrong with him, but he continued staring intensely at her, then moves his eyes to the side towards their mother in a way of telling her to 'Just spill it. It's now or never.'

"Carina, the Alvarez family is inviting us to dinner. When in this week would suit your schedule?"

"Actually, mamá.... I was thinking.."

The older woman sighs, "... Thinking of?"

"... Thinking...why the Madrigal's son isn't married yet. He too is a suitable bachelor, don't you think?"

Haidi laughed, as if it was the most ridiculous thing she ever heard, "El cariño, everyone in the village would rather lock their daughters than to let them marry Bruno. He's a bringer of bad omen, who would want bad luck circling their future generations with unwanted prophecies? Besides, Alma had gotten her head up above the clouds just because the miracle protects us and gave her children gifts. I wouldn't want you involved and get belittled by her prideful nature."

The woman frowned upon seeing her mother's cold view towards the man she thought this family viewed as a member. All the time, Haidi had shown to be good natured towards the Madrigal boy, even let them played until old enough for marriage, Carina thought it was because she thought of him as her own son, "But you know that Bruno isn't like that. We've always been good to him, he's never brought misfortune for that."

"Carina, you still have not been wed at this age. I understand we owe him for that time he warned us of any possible harm that almost got you dead, but it's clear that Bruno is not the type that you could depend on. He barely shows himself, and it was even said that he spends his time all day in his room, never helping with house chores or the village at all."

"He can, mamá. He just wants to avoid unnecessary blames for everything bad that's happening around. Everyone thinks he's a bad omen just for having a gift to see the future? Then what's the point of the miracle being passed on if it's going to give another gift that will make the people scared for nothing," her voice gradually becomes louder as she tried defending the man.

"Why do you look so desperate in making a stand for him? Don't tell me you like Bruno Madrigal."

"Yes! I do, mamá. How long would it take for you to see that?!"

Haidi's eyes widens, but that didn't stop the girl from another round of pouring her thoughts in the shocking subject.

"I have been with him for as long as I can remember. We have been graciously giving him happiness that neither anyone or his family can make, I have stuck with him even though everyone pushes him in the shadows—"

"And have you heard what the neighbors' rumors of you?!" the woman stands from her seat, slamming two hands on either side of her unfinished plate, "They said you continue to cooperate with Alma's son in hopes of seeing a bad future for your own family. They think I'm mistreating you, giving meanings to your disappearances most of the time doing who knows what! In the forest where they'd last saw you! The miner of our village had seen you sometimes going off and never coming back down, I had his son search for you that time too."

"Pierre? Why would you —" Carina sighs, "Mamá would you please reconsider? I have liked him for so long, I just wanna give this one a chance."

"And if even Alma says no? Or what if Bruno himself rejects it," Haidi tilts her head up, challenging her daughter, "you would then let me pick your husband for you?"

This one is a once in a lifetime chance she's got, Carina's choice is narrowed down for this moment. Whatever happens next will decide her fate for love, for a future she could give for this family.

"Of course, mamá."
