"THREE CHEERS TO THE HAPPY COUPLE!!!"
Carina laughs and catches a few confetti on to her hands. She looks at everyone as they yelled congratulations over and over. Children ran around and played with the petals that Isabela made an exception to put on display today. Gorgeous decorations adorned the area beside the river where foods and drinks where provided right outside the church that Luisa gladly made the initiative to carry here. Everything they see are on another level and everyone was so happy to see these couple unite at long last.
Carina glances lovingly at her new husband, who stood proudly— and quite shy— next to her.
She interlaced her fingers with Bruno's, catching him off from his inner turmoil. No matter how many times he tries to associate himself with a lot of people, the man still has this huge anxiety with crowds. "You alright, mi amado?"
Blood rushes back to his cheeks and he can't help but look away, "Yeah, I'll never get used to this." Carina laughs at his bashful expression, making him feel even worse.
"Come on, we wanted this, you wanted this, we're married now. The least you can do is get used to seeing my face everyday now."
50 years was long enough wait, two months since they reunited and everything moved so fast (thanks to Carina's advances towards him) which led Bruno to finally have that proper family dinner to propose to her, which then leads us to where we are now.
"...Are you really sure about choosing me?"
The woman in white dress laughs again, "We're already done with it and you're still asking me that?!"
"I can't help it. What if you get bored of me and my excessive ramblings, 'cause I know to myself I do that most of the times, and I'm not nearly as dependable as anyone else. Not to mention I'm a bit shorter than you, which also makes me less attractive as a man. Who knows, maybe I can't even make you satisfied when we—"
"Oh for crying out loud," she sighs, grabbing his cheeks and kisses him to shut him up. Afterwards, Carina looks him dead in the eyes, "It's alright. You are perfect to me. And besides, I, too, have rambling issues. And what the hell are you saying? I think it's better that we are about the same height. We're the same height, okay?"
"Alright, alright," he places an arm around her waist, still holding their union candle on the other, "I'll try not to think about it too much."
"You better. We've got so much to enjoy today, and for once, we are the center of it all," Carina pulls him with her as the game entertainment began.
"Alrighty-o, it's time for single males here to hide their shoes. Everyone, gather round," Félix, as the host of this reception, instructed the men for their final game event. If other weddings throw bouquets, here they hides men's shoes under the bride's dress. "Mi vida, you know the drill."
Pepa comes to the bride with a white blindfold in hand, wrapping it around Carina's eyes so that she'll won't be able to see who places where under her skirt. Camillo was about to place his own, but Pepa finishes tying up the blind fold and drags him back, "Oh no, you don't."
She hears lots of footsteps come close, her dress rustling as they "Everyone accounted for? Great! Carina, you may take off your blindfold." She does as told and looks at everyone else who had gotten back in their seats. "Here we are, the moment of truth. Who could the bride possibly pick out?" She feels around her skirt, giving them the major cliffhanger. "Ohhhh here it comes~" her hand pulled out a shoe and instantly heard a cheer from the crowd. It was Catalina's brother whom she had also rejected before.
Once it was all over, Bruno leaned to ask her, "Was he one of those..."
"Yup. Nearly everyone was one on the list," Carina shakes her head smiling. Haidi had every guy lining up their doorstep, but it was Bruno whom she'd ended up picking.
