LIFE FELL FROM 100 TO 0 IN JUST 24 HOURS. it's the following night after seeing fez and i haven't seen or heard from him. it's strange. i try not to overthink it but it's proving to be extremely difficult.
i've hardly slept but i know i have to go to class. especially since maddy has signed me up for the cheer team.
i spend the entire day drifting in and out of conversations with cassie and maddy until practice after class. i walk into the gym and immediately regret ever going. both mckay and nate sit in the corner drinking their water waiting for their girlfriends to finish.
"bitch you good? you're never normally this quiet" maddy nudges me softly as we get into lines for warm up.
"yeah i'm okay just tired" i lie. maddy nods and decides to let it slide.
practice lasts just over an hour and a half in which mckay and nate stay for the entire thing. apart from the growing worry over what is going on with the boy i have fallen in love with, i have actually enjoyed practice.
"hi nate!" maddy smiles as the tall boy walks over.
"hi babe" he looks from maddy to me.
"i'm going to go pee, i'm dying over here. back in a sec" she pushes onto her tiptoes to reach him before skipping off.
i lace up my regular shoes before looking up and seeing nate standing over me.
"what's good talia?" he smirks making me feel sick to my stomach.
"what do you want" i spit in annoyance.
"thought you would've wanted to know where fez was but obviously not. you got over him quick huh?" he laughs before turning to walk away.
"wait what did you just say?" i push all hate for him aside at the mention of fez's name.
"nothing, you stay safe" nate waves before walking over to the exit doors.
