BOTH CARS ARE PACKED AND READY. i stand next to fez and ashtray as they sign out of their motel room, handing the room keys back to the small blonde sitting behind the main desk.

we walk out together, fez's large hand intertwined with mine. a gentle smile on his face, probably glad to get out of the motel he's been living in for the past two months.

"i'll follow you two" i smile softly before kissing fez's cheek.

"alright ma" fez squeezes my hand before letting go.

"urm actually tai" ashtray pipes up currently rocking on his heels in between the two cars. his simple mannerism reminding me of his young age.

"yeah?" i ask curiously, anticipating what he's yet to ask me.

"oh hell nah, don't even think about it" fez laughs before opening the drivers door of his own car.

"shut up fez i ain't asking you bro, so tai, can i drive your car? i'm a very trusty driver" the young boy flashes his pearly teeth at me.

"she ain't letting you drive shit-"

"of course! i'm in the passenger seat though" i beam watching as ashtray smirks and flips off his older brother.

"you can't be serious baby" fez shakes his head in astonishment.

"most definitely serious. if you trust ash with your car, i can trust him with mine. hop in" i instruct him whilst passing my keys to him.

to be fair i'm slightly anxious of ash driving as he is still so young, too young to be driving. but at the same time he's probably got more experience than myself.

"ash, don't go crazy bro. i can take it but you got to be careful with her" fez looks at his brother with nothing but seriousness laced in his tone.

"ash drive how you like" i step in just to annoy the tall boy.

"ugh mom and dad are fighting. let's just drive." ash slides into the drivers seat with ease and i follow after.

for the first 15 minutes ashtray actually listened to his brother, following reluctantly behind him at the speed limit.

"you know my brother is a real sucker for you" ashtray suddenly speaks out of nowhere, breaking the comfortable silence we was just sharing.

"i was worried he would of forgotten about me" i fiddle with my thumbs in my lap.

"nah not one day went by that he didn't speak about you. he was angry at first, beating himself for leaving you and shit. but after the anger he just missed you man, bad" i tear my gaze away from the road ahead to the boy next to me, slumped low in the seat, small hands wrapped around the steering wheel.
