The Letter

I stood in looking dumbfounded at the letter reading it over and over again for 5 minutes before screaming on the top of my lungs and jumping up and down excitedly. I hear my mom drop a pan in the kitchen and footsteps coming to my room followed but the door swinging open revealing my mom with a frying pan in her hand ready to swing

I laugh seeing her pace around my room. "Mom there's no one here". She looks at me curiously "then why were you screaming bloody murder"? Instead of answering I just hand her my letter smiling as I watch her eyes go big looking at me in ah. She screamed just as loud as I did practically tackling me to the ground. " Oh my gosh Shay this amazing im so proud of you!" I smile back at her returning the hug.

She pulls out her phone calling my brother Calum to tell him the news. Yes I know. My brother is THE Calum Hood. Teen heartthrob.... gag me please. I know my brother is good looking but if I have to hear my best friend Megan talk about the things she wants to do to my brother one more time.... I think I might throw up.

I was snapped out of my thoughts as I hear my brother answer the phone. "Hello?" I hear the sound of the boys in the background fighting over who was next to play fifa. "Calum sweetie you need to come over right now Shay has some very good news for you. You can bring the boys over if you want." I hear Cal tell the news to the boys and them complaining about how they didn't want to leave their game.

My mom just for the cherry on top throws in that she had ordered pizza. That changed their moods completely as I hear Michael scream pizza like a indian going into battle. Only like a minute later I hear a loud knocking on the door. They were at Luke's house which is only across the street from mine.

I laugh as I go to open the door just as it swings open hitting me hard on the head. I cry out in pain as I fall backwards onto the floor. I hear a couple gasps and Cal groan about how it would be helpful if they wouldn't kill me. I then feel myself being lifted up to my feet. I slowly opening my eyes hissing from the pain in my head. I look up to see who helped me being greeted by worried baby blue eyes. I smile knowing exactly who it was.

"uh thanks Luke" I say smiling at him. He smiles back at me with that beautiful smile of his making my cheeks grow warm. I look away not wanting him to see me blushing he answered back with a simple your welcome walking back over with the rest of the boys.

Before you even think it... I dont have a crush on Luke. I mean I cant really, I promised my brother when they first started the band that I wouldn't date or flirt with any of the boys.

It's been pretty easy so far keeping the promise. I mean don't get me wrong.... they are gorgeous. Its just that I've known them for so long that I see them more as brothers than anything. Other than Luke, I don't know why but he just make me feel so.... I dont know how to explain it. He just gives me butterflies by the littlest of things, and makes me blush all the time. But its not like I'm in love with him...

I was snapped out of my day dream by a hand being waved in front of my face. " hello earth the Shay is anyone in there?" I look at my brother annoyed he gives me the I love you look making me roll my eyes. "What do you want?" He looks at me and smiles "No need to be sassy little sister. I was just wondering why you drug us away from our game to come here...."

I smile as I remeber the letter running into my room to get it. I come back into the living room shoving the letter over to him. He looks at me confused taking it and starting to read it. He starts smiling halfway through reading it and putting it down when he was done henopening his arms up for me to hug him. I accept his offer snuggling into him. "I'm so proud of you little sis I knew you would get in!" I pull away smiling as he gives me a kiss on the head. I laugh and wipe it away and onto his shirt.

He holds his hand on his heart acting hurt as I just laugh at how nerdy he is. He tells the boys the news as they all told me congratulations as Mikey just stuffed his face with pizza mumbling a congrats. I say thank you and head up to my room to tell Megan. I started dialing her number as I hear the door open.

I look up to see the same blue eyed boy. "hey Luke? " I say wondering why he came up here. "Hi Shay, umm I just came up here to tell you a personal congrats without having all the boys there." I blush at his response and just nod in reply smiling. "It's just that I'm really happy for you. I mean this is a really big deal, I know you have been dreaming about this since I met you and your finally going."

I start to get butterflies as he stares like he was trying to memorize every part of my face. I try to break the silence by hugging him tightly never wanting to let go. He freezes up a bit before hugging me back just as tightly. I dig my face into the crook of his neck enjoying every bit of this moment. He pulls away looking at me before looking down to my lips....

I started freaking out in my mind wondering if maybe I was just dreaming this. But no here was Luke leaning in about to kiss me. his head was moving in closer to me before the door burst opening with Mikey. We both back away drom eachother looking at him in confusion. "LUKE IT'S YOUR TURN IN FIFA" he screams. He nods looking over to me "well I'll talk to you later ok?" He says smiling at me sadly about our moment being ruined. I wanted to stoo him and finish where we ended but then I thought qbout Calum and the promise I made him. I just nod in response and watch as he walks back down stairs making my heart ache.

"Damn you Mikey" I groan as I put my face into my pillow.
