Pinky Promises at Midnight

Me and cal decided on just staying in bed the next day without any distactions. Not that I'm going to complain. So he ordered us pizza and then we both went our separate bedrooms to go watch Netflix.

I was almost done with my episode of American Horror Story when my phonr went off. 4 missed calls and 10 messages. Oops.

Most of them were of Megan freaking out thinkin I died. Then there was a call and 4 texts from Luke.... I sent a quick text to Megan telling her that I was ok and then I texted Luke back.

Me: Hey Luke did you need something?

Luke: Not really just checking if you were ok... you and Cal had quite a blow out yesterday.

Me: Yeah were ok now though.

Luke: Oh good. Can you tell me what happened then. What was Cal talking about?

Me: Well it's kind of a long story.... Just come over.

Luke: Ok see you in a few.

I went down stairs unlocking the door then going back up. I started to get nervous qbiut explaining to him of what happened yesterday. I dont tell people often and when I do.... it means I really trust them.

I was interrupted by Luke yelling a hello through out the house. I told him I was in my bedroom so he could just come up. A few seconds later Luke was at my bedroom door grinning from ear to ear.

"What are you smiling about? " I laugh cocking an eyebrow.

"I've just never seen you without makeup" he said shrugging his shoulders and sitting beside me onthe bed.

"Well sorry for blinding you." I say letting a nervous giggle out.

"Hey don't say that Shay. Your beautiful. So beautiful that I have to stop and stare every time I see you just to marvel at your beauty. " he touched my cheek running his thumb down to my chin.

"Your cheesy Mr. Hemmings." He laughed at me and I watched getting butterflies immediately.

After a while he got serious again looking me in the eyes qnd his forehead creased in worry. "Shay, what happened to you yesterday?"

I breathed out a sigh dreading the question. "Luke there something in my past, something really bad that I've kept hidden from everyone since our family moved here. I want to tell you, it's just very hard.

We sat there for a couple minutes just staring at eachother before Luke finally broke the silence. "Shay, you can trust me. I won't tell a soul and if I do you have all right to ignore me forever. "

"Can you trust me now and tell me what happened?" I smiled nervously at him shaking my head yes. He returning the gesture taking my hand in his and running his thumb across my hand in circles.

I then told him everything that had happened to me like I did to all those police officers and Calum. It got harder the farther I got into my story and my eyes even started to water as I thought about those horrible memories again.

Once I was done with my story I was too scared to look up to see his reaction. We sat there in silence as I blinked away my tears trying to stay strong. I settled down before I then heard quiet sobs next to me. In shock I looked over to see Luke with red puffy eyes and tears streaming down his face.

I slowly got up and moved towards him sitting on his lap. I faced myself towards him and began wiping the tears from his face and replacing them with kisses. After a while his breathing went back to normal and he stopped crying.

I smiled up at him and he weakly returned it. "I'm so sorry that happened to you Shay." He whispered

"No girl should ever be treated like that in their lifetime. " he put a loose piece of hair behind my ear.

"Do you still think about it a lot?" I sat there jut looking at him wondering if I should tell him about my bad thoughts or not.

"Yes Luke I do a lot." He breathed out a sigh and hugged me tightly putting his face in the crook of my neck.

"I'm hear if you ever need something to take your mind off of it ok?" I nodded giving him a small smile.

We sat like that for a couple minutes listening to eachothers steady breathing. He then broke our hug and out his forehead on mine.

"Shay. I think I'm falling for you." My breath hitched in my throat. What was I supposed to say? I mean was I really really to try and start dating again after what had happened with Eric?

I then changed my thoughts and started thinking about how I felt abiut Luke. I always felt happy around him and wanted in the world. I thought about the warm felling I got when he smiled at me, or how everything we touched I would get butterflies. I knew what to say back. I mean it's pretty obvious that I have feelings for Luke. It's just that I didnt know if I was ready.

I finally answer him, "I'm falling too Luke. "

He caught me by surprise when he pressed his lips to mine and squeezing me gently. It was the most passionate I've ever experienced in my life. I responded back almost immediately by deepening the kiss. I enjoyed the feeling of acting kissing someone for the first time in a year and a half. He then fell back onto the bed tugging me down with him never breaking the kiss.

After what felt like hours we finally broke apart trying to gain our breath back. He broke out into a dorking grin making me laugh at his stupidness.

"I've been waiting so long to do that." He said touching my cheek.

I giggled at him blushing a little bit. "Well now that you have, how was it?"

He looked at me like I was crazy to even ask. "It was the best kiss I've ever had."

I smiled at him and he gave me a wink making me laugh. I gave him a playing hit on the shoulder as he just laughed even harder.

We layed down for a while cuddling into eachother, our hands tangled together. He would kiss my nose every now and then making me giggle.

"Luke?"

"Yes beautiful?" He answered looking down at me.

"Can you pinky promise me that you can keep this between us without tellin the rest of the boys? "

I held out my pinky and he then wrapped his around mine. "Of course Shay, I won't tell a soul."
