chapter 1

"My name is Tris Lay and I'm from abnegation. We have 5 factions to keep the peace together. The system works for us. Every year 16 year old get to choose which faction we want to live in." I walking with my brother school and I saw dauntless running toward school and I turned around and stopped and watch them. My brother tapped my shoulder to get my attention. "Tris stop looking at them. Your not going to be like them at all." I looked at him and kept on walking with him to school.

I kept my head down. I always wanted to be one of them since I was little. I don't wanna disappoint my family at all. Only one abnegation went to dauntless in the past 10 years and his name was  Harry West. Abnegation disowned him from coming home to visit his own family and even his own sister that doesn't understand the whole system. "Tris I will see you later." My brother wnt to AP history while I went to the faction Histroy. The choosing ceremony is tomorrow and I'm kinda scared. 

I got bumped into and a dauntless girl pushed my books over "Stiff."   We are weak in abnegation. We will never be strong at all. I grabbed all my books and headed to the first hour of school before the bell went off. When i took a seat in my class i saw dauntless people climbing the building all around us and students were climbing into the windows to get to class. Its fun to watch. But when ww choose a different faction they are responsable for us and school. Every single 16 year old is going to get called out and adults are going give us a test to see where we belong and I'm pretty nervous for that.

"Tris lay?" I looked up at me teacher and she pointed at the door and i knew what that meant. Its time for me to get the test down so i went to the cafe on the 18th floor and i sat where the rest of abnegation sat and i sat quietly and waited my turn to go back. There is a lot of dauntless and candor people in here.  I didn't know what to expected at all from the test. There is preparation for this at all.  "Tris lay from abnegation and shayla original from candor please come back with me.."

I stood up and walked over by the door and the person put me a room and i saw a chair laying back so i laid down and waited. I saw a daunless adult walk in. "My name is Liv obrien and i will be guide for this test." I looked at her and saw tattos down her arm and some on her face. She hooked me up some machines. I was curious about her tattoos that she has. "What does those tattoos mean on your arm." She looked at me and she was surprised that i said something about the tattoos down her arm and i guess she didn't expect that from me at all.

"Your very curious for a abnegation girl." I smiles and chuckled. I didn't what to say to after that at all. She rolled up her shirt so i can see it. Its a big dauntless symbol that she has on her. " I like your tattoo." She smiled and back to what she is doing she poured a green liquid into a small glass. My stomacked turned when i saw that. It looked like the grass color at home. My face went pale. She turned around and handed it to me. "Whats this." i looked at her. She looked me and and let go of the glass and she didn't say anything for a few minutes. "Its a liquid that every 16 year takes and it makes you to sleep for a while so i can get your test results." 

Im so confused what shw said but i drank it all and i feel so tired and i shut my eyes. I saw pitch black and i saw a dog chasing a little girl. I ran after the dog for a couple of minutes so i can catch up to it. I tackled the dog hard. But i hit the ground without the dig and it was sunny and bright. I saw muilpile people standing around. I picked up a apple and gave back to the amity girl. "Have a nice day." I told the lottke girl as i walked away.

I got on  the train and they skys were different i was sitting by a candor person and he was a reading a book that my brother would read when he got home. He tapped me on my shoulder and i didn't respond at first but he touch me a a second time and i turned my head. I looked at him for a few minutes. "Do you know this book?" He looked at me with wide eyes and it creeped me out. "I hadn't. I never saw that book in my life." I looked at me and i just lied to a condor man and i felt bad but oh well. He got up and lifted the seat. I stood up and i was in abnegation. It was weird being here.

"Girl do have any food." I just kept on walking by and and followed me and i just ran home. I woke up in the chair after that. She looked me and she went out of room for a few minutes. She walked back and sat really close to me. "You cant tell anyone what I'm telling you right now, you understand me?" I nodded snd i was scared and confused at the same time.  "Look the test would show only one place that ou belong and it only shows two. you can pick dauntless or amity." I was so confused about what she is saying to me. "So what to do they call me then?" She looks at me with a concerned look. "Your diverse Tris." I was completely shocked of what she just told me.
