TW: Dying young

Bruno sat in his floor looking at his wife.

"Mi corazóooooon?" He called

"What?" She laughed

"Wanna look into the future?"

"Oh but I ask and you say it hurts your head?"

"It does, but I'm bored."

Antonella chuckled and helped to lay out the sand.

Soon Bruno held out his hands and she grabbed them.

He closed his eyes and a dome of sand began to form around them.

He opened his eyes to reveal a glowing jade green taking place of the usual much darker shade of the same color.

He looked around, not seeing much of anything important or interesting.

Then he saw it.

A girl screaming, a hand reaching out for her.

He soon came to realize it was himself and his wife.

They looked at each other in terror.

Bruno watched as he fell down next to her and tried his best to carry her back to casita.

He watched as she held his hand and her eyes fluttered closed.

Antonella watched as she took her final breath.

She watched as Bruno cried.

They both watched as Pepa hugged her brother.

They watched young Dolores hold a small infant, one that wasn't alive yet.

The toddler Camilo knew nothing more of what had happened. He was 3, his sister was 9 at the time.

2 of Julietas kids would understand, Isabela and Dolores would take it harder than the rest.

Luisa was 6 and Mirabel was 3.

They weren't sure who the baby Dolores was holding was or how old it was.

Bruno wiped the sand away with a whoosh of his hand and caught the green plaque that showed her dying.

Neither one said a word as they looked at the other.

He hugged her first.

"I won't let that happen." He said

"I know you won't." She replied, slightly nervous about how he planned to stop it.

-
It'd been just over a year since they'd seen the vision.

They'd broken the plaque, no one else ever having to see it.

Bruno stood in shock as she mumbled out the words.

"But if you're- then that means that-"

"I know, and I'm scared Bruno."

"I told you then, I won't let that happen."

"But knowing the baby in the vision was ours makes it so much worse if either one of us die!"

"It's better if it has only you than if it has only me." Bruno shrugged

"It's best if it has both of us!"

"Well I don't know if that's possible!"

"Camilo and Mirabel are only 4! They can't go through one of us dying!"
