~Jinmee's P.O.V~
Time flew by fast and the month of May rolled in with its hot weather.
The boys had been extremely busy with practice because of their upcoming comeback. My rein of silence disappeared since the day we played around during the storm. The issue of Leeteuk and the fan had been dropped and forgotten.
Things had finally cooled down, and everything had gone back to normal.
For the most part, anyways.
Fan girls still showed up at my job just to rub their hate for me in my face.
Some weren't as bad as the first time it'd happened, but they still came pretty often and were just as harsh. I didn't want Donghae to see, but I guess he's gotten a bit used to it, too.
I was getting ready for work with Donghae when I heard a knock on my door.
"Come in," I yelled to whoever was on the other side.
Ryeowook walked in and closed the door behind him.
"I came to tell you that we were all heading out to the company now. If you need us, that's where we'll be," he said, taking a seat next to me on the floor by the vanity.
I nodded, turning my attention to the problem at hand.
My make-up applying skills weren't the greatest. At least not as great as Ryeowook's.
He grabbed the stick of eyeliner that I was trying to put on.
"You're doing it wrong," he said.
He turned me around and quickly applied the black liquid to my eye lids.
"Sometimes I wonder who the real daughter of mom and dad are," I said while he worked.
"Oh shut up. You're just jealous," he said with a joking smile.
"True. I'm glad I have you,"
He smiled and backed away.
"I'm done. I have to go now. The others are probably getting impatient,"
He gave Donghae, who was playing with some of the toys that were finally unpacked, and I a hug before rushing out of the door.
I turned to Donghae.
"Ready to go see halmeoni and Jongjin hyung?"
He nodded rapidly before jumping to his feet and grabbing his backpack he wouldn't be using until school started again after summer ended.
I grabbed my own bag, and we both walked from our room and out of the apartment, ready for a new day to begin.
By the time we got there, the café was already getting a bit crowded.
Donghae ran behind the counter and tackled Jongjin's legs in an attempt to hug him.
"You'll be able to give me an actual hug someday, little man," Jongjin said, lifting Donghae into his arms.
"Aigoo, he's growing every day. Soon enough, he'll be as tall as you and calling you little man," ajummoni said after slapping Jongjin on the arm.
I laughed at their antics before walking to the back to put away my bag and put on my apron.
On my way back to the counter, I passed Sooyoung who'd given me enough comments to write a book.
"You're back? Why don't you just quit already?" she sneered.
"I'm sorry that I don't give up. I'm pretty sure you're capable of sucking it up and dealing with it,"
She looked at me with an angered face and stomped off to where she'd be working for today.
