Sebastian drifted back into consciousness to feel that he was lying in bed with someone's head weeping upon his chest, however, he was too weak to move, he couldn't say anything to whoever was lying upon him, but his heart hurt and ached with a longing for Ciel. He had to find him and make sure he was okay, and that was when the small body began to speak in between sobs.
"Se-Sebastian, please wake up. I need you to be okay, I need you to live. So, please, wake up. Open those gorgeous eyes and allow me to embrace you with my warmth."
Ciel? Is that you? Damn it, I wish I could do those things but I am slowly dying from my wounds because of - Grell. If I could, I would snarl right now. I lost to Grell in front of my master... What a disgrace. Will he ever look at me the same way again? I was once dependable, now I am just a nobody. Ciel, please, forgive me.
Sebastian fought hard to open his eyes, but it didn't seem to be enough - he was losing the war. What had him so down that he would lose a fight with Death? Maybe it was the fight with Grell, maybe it was Ciel, maybe it was himself, and he slowly slipped away, his thoughts overtaking him as Ciel began to speak once more.
"Sebastian, I love you. Nothing will ever change that, but I need you to open your eyes."
At those words, Sebastian's eyes flittered open and Ciel wrapped his arms tightly around Sebastian. Sebastian chuckled and smiled while returning the embrace, but weakly because he was still exhausted from the wounds he had recieved. He felt a pang in his heart, it was growing harder to bear by the minute, and Ciel noticed Sebastian's pained face.
"Sebastian, are you feeling all right?" Ciel inquired, his heart nearly shattering as Sebastian placed his hand over where a heart was throbbing in agony.
"C-Ciel." Sebastian whispered softly before placing his other hand on Ciel's chin and gazing softly into his blue eye. "It's so good to see you again."
Ciel's eyes lit up and he wanted nothing more than to embrace Sebastian, forever; however, that was cut short as Sebastian's eyes fell closed and he slowly slumped back on the bed, his body now still, but he was still breathing.
"Sebastian!" Ciel screamed with a tear running down his cheek.
Finnian, Mey-rin, Bardroy, and Tanaka then rushed into the room. Tanaka restrained Ciel with the help of Finnian, but he kept screaming, his words always: "Is Sebastian going to be okay?" Tanaka couldn't answer the boy, he just glanced at him in concern and watched as the other two began to examine Sebastian's frail body.
Once their examination was done, the two turned towards Ciel and smiled before telling him that Sebastian was going to be just fine, but he couldn't stop screaming Sebastian's name - he was filled with doubt. Sebastian was still on the bed Ciel provided to him, his chest barely managing to rise and fall, and Ciel's memories of the butler flashed before his eyes as he sobbed uncontrollably.
Ciel needs me, I have to go back. Why am I so weak and pitiful? It's because I chose to love a human, however, I regret nothing because he is the love of my life. I need - I need to wake up, to make everyone realize that I'm okay, that I will be okay. I have to fight this darkness that is consuming me.
Ciel's hand cupped Sebastian's cheek and a tear fell onto the older male's cheek, the other servants had already exited the room, and Sebastian could feel that his lord was about to say something very personal; however, despite being able to open his eyes now, Sebastian decided to keep them closed in order to hear what his lord had to say.
"Do you want me to beg you to come back? I may have been too prideful, but, now, I know that I would lose the best man in the world if you were to die. So, tell me Sebastian, do you want me to beg you to open your eyes?" Ciel inquired, his voice soft and light.
"That would be nice." Sebastian admitted with a smile.
Ciel smiled and wrapped his slender arms around Sebastian's frame.
"Do you still want me to beg?" Ciel asked, slightly embarrassed.
"Call my name dear, that is all you need to do." Sebastian answered silkily near Ciel's small ear.
The boy shivered in response and ran his hands through Sebastian's silky, ebony hair as he began to whisper the butler's name near his ear; it seemed as though the butler was instantly revived by hearing his lover say his name, this then caused his wounds that would have been fatal to a human to heal quickly as his eyes glowed pink, his hands clenched tightly together in order to bear the pain of the healing wounds, then, all at once, it stopped - he was healed completely and Ciel embraced him lightly in a hug.
"I'm so glad that you're okay!" Ciel exclaimed as the others rushed into the room with looks of astonishment upon their faces at how quickly Sebastian had managed to heal.
None of them knew that he was a demon and he planned to keep it that way, however, Sebastian couldn't shake off a guilty feeling when he felt Mey-rin staring right at him. Her eyes could have piereced his soul, if he had one, but, for now, he chose to stay with his bocchan and rest in the comfort of the bed.
