The next day had arrived and Sebastian awoke his lord at 7 o'clock, exactly as he instructed, he then dressed the Master before leaving to prepare breakfast and the day's schedule. A few moments later he returned with the boy's breakfast and read the schedule to him aloud, however, it seemed as though Ciel was not paying attention to the schedule.

"You have the day off." Ciel mumbled.

Sebastian bowed and left the room, returning to his room in order to play with the several cats that he had hidden in his wardrobe. Sebastian made sure to lock the door before taking them out and he rubbed noses with every one of the fluff balls, it was as though he once a cat in his past life before he became a human that then turned into a demon.

My adorable little kittens are my only joy now. I remember when it once was Ciel, but he has become so full of rage that I don't know if I can handle it anymore because I still love him, even like this... Meanwhile, Ciel sat at his desk, fiddling with his fingers, tapping them upon the desk, a few tears slipping from his eyes. Why do I do this to Sebastian? I feel as though he means a lot more to me than I let on, but why? What is he to me? I feel so close to him, but I am so far away. Sebastian, what are you? Friend? Foe? Lover? No, you can't possibly be a lover, why else does this rage build up inside of me whenever I see you? - Why do I feel relieved when I see your face? Sebastian, I don't know what you are to me, but - you must be special.

Sebastian laid upon his bed now, the cats all surrounding him upon the bed as he looked up towards the ceiling, his mind reeling with thoughts of his little Ciel. He has grown, hasn't he? I suppose it was only a matter of time before he started to hate me, who wouldn't? I am just a lowly demon, a demon who has lowered himself to the appearance of a butler just to be with him. He was suddenly brought out of his thoughts when someone attempted to open the door.

"Se-Sebastian, please, let me in. We need to talk." Ciel said.

No shit. Sebastian bit back his sarcastic thought before opening the door, lest he be beaten to death by his Master.

"Master, come in, if you like." Ciel walked into the room and noticed a picture of him before he was a demon with a fake smile plastered upon his face.

Ciel stared at the picture, his head started to throb as he remembered. That picture was painted before I was with Sebastian! I love Sebastian! He's the only one who can bring a smile to my face no matter what! Ciel turned to face Sebastian with gentle eyes and embraced him tightly, his head resting on his right shoulder.

"Se-Sebastian, I-I remember now." Ciel said shakily. "I-I love you."

Ciel looked up to see that Sebastian was softly gazing upon him, his eyes tender and warm, so full of love, but he was holding back because he was - afraid, maybe? No, he was terrified. He couldn't bring himself to love Ciel openly because he was terrified that he would end up getting hurt again, was this all an act? Or was he being honest? Ciel, I love you, but I don't want to get hurt again. I'm sorry.

"Sebastian, are you o-okay?" Ciel inquired, his voice trembling with fear.

"I'm sorry Ciel, but I can't right now." Sebastian answered, his eyes filling with sorrow.

"O-Of course." Ciel answered before walking out of the room, closing the door behind him, and walking into his room before locking the door and laying down upon the bed. At that same moment, Sebastian laid upon his bed, and they both thought: I love you too much to let go.
