Seonghwa had been a little for a bit over a year now, as his headspace helped him feel safe in a world that was way too fast paced for anyone to keep up. Considering he was the oldest in the group, he didn't even think about telling his members about his headspace as he felt guilty for not only failing them as a hyung but also burdening them with having to take care of him. In his mind, Seonghwa was certain he'd be able to hide it forever because he was sharing a room with Hongjoong and the leader only ever came home late, so how should they find out? His plan to hide his headspace forever crumbled during Kingdom. Seonghwa had been so nervous before one of their performances that he had unwillingly slipped backstage, apart from his group. Terrified by the looming performance and the unfamiliar environment, the little had wandered around backstage, where eventually two other idols found him. Having a little in their own group, Seungmin and Jeongin were rather quick to recognize Seonghwa's behavior, the gnawing on his bottom lip, the fiddling with his fingers and the digging his toes into the ground. Worried that someone else might catch on, they had led Seonghwa to a restroom close by, so they could talk in privacy. That was when the little broke down.

Of course, Seonghwa would eventually start feeling lonely if he had to keep such a bit secret and now he had finally reached his breaking point. Once the first tear fell, all the bottled-up emotions and the longing for his group members to be by his side and to hold him, spilled over, turning Seonghwa into a sobbing mess. There was no doubt in the other two's minds that the little wouldn't be able to perform at the moment, so while Seungmin stayed with Seonghwa, rubbing his back and eventually holding him in his arms, Jeongin made his way to the Ateez dressing room, making up a story about their oldest member being sick and currently puking in one of the bathrooms. Although Hongjoong had wanted to come with Jeongin right away to check on his only hyung, the group was soon ushered on stage and left to improvise parts of their performance. As soon as they were done though, Hongjoong rushed to find Jeongin, asking him to lead him to the bathroom Seonghwa was in, as it would take a while to check all of them. To say he was surprised about his hyung sitting in Seungmin's lap would've been an understatement but he took his time to listen to the two younger ones' explanation and soon took over from them as they had to go on stage.

Hongjoong had figured it'd be best to keep up the act of Seonghwa being sick for now, so he sat with the little, asking him about his headspace and how they'd handle things from now on. The other wasn't really of much help with that, sitting on Hongjoong's lap and shyly fiddling with his hands. He was even shyer than usual when he was regressed, so they had to wait for Seungmin and Jeongin to return after their performance. The solution that they eventually came up with was entirely Jeongin's idea and although Hongjoong and Seungmin were skeptical about it, Seonghwa loved it. Considering the two Stray Kids maknaes already had some experience as caregivers, they would be taking care of Seonghwa from now on and slowly help the members of Ateez to get used to it till they'd be able to take over completely. Sure, it'd be difficult living apart and having different schedules but they gave Hongjoong their numbers and the Ateez leader promised to add them to a group chat, while he'd break the news to the rest of his group once they got back to their dorm. Before they parted though, Seonghwa shyly lifted one shaking hand, showing that he wanted to ask something. When the others nodded curiously, the little ask: "Wha' me caww chu?" - "Whatever you're comfortable with, bubs", Jeongin smiled, hugging the other. Contemplating for a moment before pointing at Jeongin, Seonghwa announced softly: "Chu Momma and...Hm, chu Dada. Oh, an' chu Joong-hyung!" When everyone had their title, they parted and Hongjoong insisted on taking Seonghwa home, emphasizing he was really sick and needed rest.
