Sickie/Little: Yunho
Caregiver: Yeosang

No one’s POV.:
It had been almost three days of Yunho being stuck in his bed and he was already close to scratching the days into the wall next to it as a tally sheet, just so he could keep track. Now, Mingi had teased him for being dramatic but Yunho wasn’t used to being inactive for such long stretches of time. Especially not, when it felt so utterly unjustified. Yunho had gotten down with what he had at first thought to be a bad cold about a week ago. When his symptoms kept worsening though, their manager dragged him to see a doctor and they were glad he did. Yunho was put on antibiotics immediately, so he wasn’t contagious anymore by now and his condition had already improved significantly.

With the antibiotics Yunho was still on, he was banned from any and all physical activity, which to him felt almost worse than being sick in the first place and his members were cruel enough to insist he stay in bed. Not even Mingi was there to keep him company because he had to work, so while the rapper was at the studio, the older was bored out of his mind. Since they didn’t trust Yunho to actually listen and stay in bed, Yeosang had agreed to spend the day working remotely from their shared apartment but just because Yeosang was there didn’t mean he actually had the time to entertain his hyung.

Yeosang had already been up for quite a while and had set up his laptop at the dining table, frowning when he heard Yunho shuffle to the bathroom rather early too. Luckily, the apartment fell silent once more after Yunho returned to his bedroom, so Yeosang figured the older had gone back to sleep. Little did he know that his friend was awake, sulking as he stared up at the ceiling of his dim room. With nothing to do really, it didn’t take long for Yunho’s mind to wander and he absentmindedly chewed on the ear of his favorite teddy bear. He didn’t even notice how he had slipped into his headspace.

Little Yunho too easily got bored though, so it was only a matter of time till he shuffled out of bed and padded to the living room, remembering how he had left his blocks there. “Good morning, hyung”, Yeosang hummed, barely looking up from his laptop. Not spotting the teddy bear in Yunho’s arm, Yeosang continued: “How are you feeling? Should you really be up so early?” – “Um, I fine. Jus’ busy, so needs be up weawwy eawly”, Yunho stated slowly in what he considered to be his most ‘adult-voice’. Yeosang wasn’t fooled for a second though, staring at his friend in utter shock.

While the members knew about Yunho’s headspace, they hadn’t considered the risk of him slipping while home alone, so Yeosang was suddenly glad he had stayed back to keep an eye on him. Getting to his feet, he guided Yunho to the couch and cooed: "What are you so busy doing, Yuyu?" - "Yuyu buiwd town!", the little exclaimed, pointing at his blocks while Yeosang discreetly felt his temperature. “No, love, I don’t think you need to build a town right now”, Yeosang denied as he pulled the quilt off the back of the couch, “You’re still sickie and it’s time for breakfast, so you can take your meds.” – “Meanie! Yuyu buiwds town”, Yunho huffed, shrugging off the quilt. Fixing the quilt around his friend’s shoulder again, Yeosang sighed: “Alright, you can build a town with your blocks but we need to get you ready first, yeah? Come on, let’s get you dressed.”

Though whining about it, Yunho followed Yeosang back to his room, where his caregiver made sure he changed from his jammies into an oversized hoodie and his thickest sweatpants, so he’d stay nice and warm. Yeosang also put fuzzy socks on Yunho’s feet and smiled: “Are you hungry for breakfast? We got time, so we can have something nice for breakfast. What do you wanna eat?” He successfully distracted Yunho from his blocks, instead leading the boy to the kitchen. “Ohh, we could eat pancakes with chocolate”, Yeosang whispered mischievously, winking at the little, “Don’t let Hongjoong and Mingi know though.” With a delighted giggle, Yunho nodded and hopped onto the counter from where he watched Yeosang prepare the batter. At least his appetite was back, Yeosang noted, relieved that he didn’t have to fight the little over having to eat breakfast.

It also seemed as though Yunho’s initial burst of energy for the day was slowly wearing off. He didn’t voice his desire to play again while Yeosang cooked and eventually got off the counter and instead pulled up a chair. Drawing his legs up to his chest, Yunho made himself appear so uncharacteristically small in his seat that Yeosang couldn’t help but coo. He poured more batter into the pan before running his fingers through the little’s hair, humming: “Are you sleepy again, Yuyu? You know, you don’t have to watch. You can get all cozy on the couch and huyng will get you once the pancakes are done.” – “Mhm, ‘m cowd”, Yunho mumbled, allowing Yeosang to pull him to his feet.

Once Yeosang had bundled his friend into the quilt and had him lying down on the couch, he made quick work of finishing their breakfast and brewing a pot of tea. He could hear Yunho cough from time to time, the sound muffled by the quilt. It had improved significantly but the congestion was still evident and Yeosang made a mental note to ensure his sippy cup would always be close by because the little occasionally forgot about drinking when he was regressed. With their special breakfast prepared, Yeosang laid the table and took his laptop back to his room to continue later when Yunho would hopefully be asleep again. Crouching next to the couch, Yeosang stroked Yunho’s back through the quilt and whispered: “Are you up, love?” With a sleepy groan, the little sat up, hair sticking in all directions and Yeosang couldn’t resist the urge to press a gentle kiss to his warm forehead.

“Come on, let’s eat something”, Yeosang smiled, “Hyung will feed you and then we can go back to your room and I’ll tuck you in for a nap.” – “Buh onwy nap. Yuyu nuh stay bed aww day”, Yunho insisted and his caregiver agreed, knowing full well that with how exhausted he was, he would probably stay there for most of the day anyway. Waddling along to the dining table, the little collapsed into his seat, his glossy eyes lighting up when he spotted the pie of pancakes. Yeosang earned himself a sleepy squeal when he drizzled some chocolate over his friend’s pancake before picking up a spoon to feed him. Despite still being a bit under the weather, Yunho ate well and Yeosang even managed to bribe him. Setting his meds onto the table, the caregiver hummed: “Can you take this like a big boy, Yuyu? I’ll even add some extra chocolate to your next pancake if you do.” Well, how could Yunho possibly say no to some extra-chocolate?

Said extra-chocolate ended up cutely smeared around Yunho’s lips, so Yeosang helped him wash up before tucking him into bed nice and snug, the boy suddenly not too upset about being in bed as he had been earlier. The sweet special-breakfast had left him warm with a full tummy, easing him into a deep slumber as soon as Yeosang drew the blinds.
