Sickie: San

Caregiver: mainly Yunho

No one's POV.:

San knew he would be in for a hard time today, the moment he got out of bed. Yunho, Wooyoung and him had a day of only dance practice and unfortunately, San had already woken up not really on top of his game. He didn't know why but everyone had days when they were low on energy, so it was probably just that. At least it wasn't a practice session with the whole group, so there were less people to judge him if his dancing wasn't as sharp as it usually was. San didn't really have much of an appetite but he knew he would need the energy, so he forced down a small breakfast before changing into his practice clothes. "Were you always this pale?", Yunho frowned, when the younger joined him at the front door. San only shrugged, slipping on his shoes as they waited for Wooyoung, so they could leave together. Having overslept a little, Wooyoung rushed towards them and hurriedly put his shoes on too. He was still stressed about being late so that he didn't notice how quiet San was this morning and Yunho didn't point it out, while San was dreading the day ahead. He really didn't feel like dancing today.

As they arrived at the practice room and started to warm up, Wooyoung too noticed San not acting like himself. He had tried to joke around with the older but for some reason just couldn't get the other to laugh. Sure, San had put on a smile but he wasn't as cheerful and energetic as he usually was, especially when it came to dancing. When Wooyoung asked him about it, the older just shrugged, stating: "I'm still tired and slowly developing a headache I think. Maybe all I need is to wake up properly or today is simply not my day." - "You're not falling ill, are you?", Yunho hummed worriedly but San shook his head. "Everyone has down-days sometimes, hyung", San smiled and went back to stretching. He felt sore and really needed to loosen his muscles before they'd start working on the choreography. Being hopeful that he might feel more energized once they really got to work, San was soon disappointed as he only felt more exhausted the more time passed. He didn't usually break into a sweat this easily but there wasn't much he could do about it. Afraid his headache would get worse if he got too dehydrated, he forced himself to drink enough water but it only sloshed around in his stomach, making him even more uncomfortable.

The time till their lunch break passed in a blur, San mainly just trying to keep up with his two friends, who had resorted to keeping a close eye on the other, in case something other than him having a down-day might be up. When Yunho asked if they were ready to go and get lunch, San was taken aback. Sure, it felt like an eternity had passed since they had gotten to the practice room but he hadn't realized it was lunchtime. To be entirely honest, he neither wanted to go anywhere other than back to the dorm nor did he want to eat anything right now. The water he had drunk during their short breaks already wasn't sitting well and he knew dancing on a full stomach didn't feel good on a good day, so he didn't want to test his luck today. Noticing his friends' worried glances, San forced a smile and simply went along with whatever they planned.

Not wanting to worry Yunho and Wooyoung, especially because he still didn't think he was sick, San forced himself to finish all of his meal, despite knowing better than to stuff himself before having to dance. He already felt queasy when they headed back to the practice room and Wooyoung could tell something wasn't right. The older had gone even quieter than he had been all morning and didn't even smile when Wooyoung joked. Yunho noticed his dongsaeng looked even worse than he had this morning. If it wasn't as obvious earlier, San definitely looked pale now. They thought the walk back to the company building would be enough to help the food settle, so they could continue practicing right away but San barely managed one run-through before doubling over panting. This was too much, too early. He swallowed repeatedly, praying his stomach would calm down. It had been such a struggle to get his lunch down, so there was no way he'd lose it that soon. Yunho was by his side in an instant, worried the younger might faint from how ashen his skin looked. "We can take a break if you feel unwell. How does that sound?", he asked, wrapping his arm around San's shoulders to steady him. Afraid to open his mouth, the younger just nodded and allowed his hyung to guide him over to their bags.
