FLASHBACK

It had just been my 13th birthday , but nothing special really happened i just went on about my day as i always did  , taking care of my little sister , it's been that way for a while

" are you okay kaykay" I asked my younger sister kaiel .

She nodded .

" eat eat" she said rubbing her stomach

I went to the fridge and looked it was empty .

I groaned

I was so tired of my mom not being a mom and me having to step in all the time , I wasn't even in high school yet with all these responsibilities , I was recently becoming accustomed to the life of a teenager , I had no ass no tittes , nothing , I tried everything to gain weight nothing worked no matter how hard I tried I was still always 90 pounds , no more no less .

I went upstairs and put on some clothes nothing too simple and I put on my coat .

I grabbed some money I saved from my daddy and slipped it in my pocket .

I walked back downstairs and grabbed Kay's hand .

" come on baby" I said

we walked to the corner store as we passed crackheads , dealers , and the old heads .

" hey ms.Kathy" I called out

" hey baby , how you been" she asked

" I've been good" I smiled

" how's ya mama" she asked

I looked to the side

" she's doing okay" I lied

she was actually laying across the bed unconscious , it was anything new I had gotten used to it .

" okay baby" she said fanning me off

I continued walking , until we reached the store .

I walked in and grabbed everything I needed and headed to the register .

" I want this" kay said pointing to a chocolate bar .

" we don't have enough money for that baby" I said

" nah she good" a deep voice said

I turned around there was a tall man standing there , with tattoos running up his left arm and a blue fitted cap on and a clean white tee with black skinny jeans on , I recognized him from somewhere .

he reached in his pocket and handed the cashier a 100 dollar bill .

" no it's fine-

" nah I insist , can I get 50 on pump 2 " he said putting his soda and the chocolate bar on the register .

the cashier gave him his change , and he handed me my bags .

" thankyou you didn't have to " I said

" no problem ma , i wanted to" he said walking off

I continued down the sidewalk and back to my house .

" cece I'm tired" ky said pulling my hand

" we almost there baby" I said

There was many reason why I never left my kaiel with my mom
