Kim Taehyung did not only resign from his post as Mayor.
He also held a press conference and came out as gay.

Tae made national news for the second time. He was now the youngest gay Mayor in the whole country. The audacity of these people to use someone's vulnerability to their advantage. Typical vulture culture.
This new revelation tore the town in half. Older, conservative people started looking away. The younger, more open-minded ones rallied behind Tae. What does sexuality have to do with his capability as a public official anyway?
J-Hope came by and gave me all the gory details. Tae was apparently not part of the marriage consummation except for one drunken incident where Crispy claimed something happened between them. Tae's memory was fuzzy but he accepted that child as his. They all did.
J-Hope's voice started to tremble. "It was painful, I had to pry Tae away from the crying child... his face was distorted in anguish. I don't think I'll ever forget it. Jungkook, I know he hurt you A LOT, but Tae did not deserve this...and neither did that child!"
I felt that pain in my gut. I felt for Tae.
In the end, the Kim elders admitted they were at fault for their political ambition. They had no choice but to accept Tae as he is. They were just too scared to lose another son, like they lost J-Min.

The days turned into weeks then into months. It was harvest time again and business was booming. The Kim scandal was already buried as expected. People have short attention spans because face it, they never really cared to begin with.
Yoongi just opened a second branch of the YoO. He was smug as always but I know better. He came by the farm one day and surprised me with news that he was getting married. To a girl. ( I don't know why I assumed he was gay.)
I met Yoongi's fiance and we set off to visit J-Min's grave as it was his birthday. We still missed him like hell. Every now and then I would get the urge to call him, only to realize that he's gone.
