"He respects my space,
And never makes me wait,
And he calls exactly when he says he will."

He was so considerate.

After my night of countless memories of Tobias, from the happiness to the fights, I did not want to leave the house. I felt like staying in bed, sleeping and watching Netflix for a few hours.

I pick up my phone from the bedside table and find Al's phone number in my contacts.

He picks up after the second ring, which a gruffly soft, "Hello?"

"Hey, it's me." I say.

"Morning, Tris. What do I owe the pleasure?" He asks, and I hear ruffling in the background; probably he is getting out of bed.

"I just... I uh," I start, trying to rephrase. "Can we take a rain check on the roller skating today? I'm just not feeling up to it at the moment."

He is silent for a few seconds. "Alright. How about I call you around 1? Go from there?"

I close my eyes. "Yes, thank you. Thank you so much. You're the best, you know that?"

He chuckles. "I've been told."

I smile, and we bid our good byes, and hang up.

I go down the stairs, looking to see that its 9:32, grab a granola bar and head back upstairs. I quickly scarf down my 'breakfast' and brush my teeth before rearranging myself underneath the covers with my laptop.

I click on Phineas and Ferb, and grin as I see the opening song, enjoying my relaxing day.

Exactly 1 o'clock. That's when he calls.

"Hey, Tris. You feeling okay? If not, I can come by, and we can hang out a bit."

"No," I cringe at how quickly I answered. "I mean, uh, why don't you come for dinner? Mom's been wanting to hear from you."

I can almost feel him smile over the phone. "Awesome. I'll be over around 5. Tell your mom I said hello, and that I will help with salad."

"Okay." I say, rolling my eyes at his eagerness.

Tobias was never like that.
