"He says everything
I need to hear,
And it's like
I couldn't ask for anything better."

School in late April, I had noticed, was buzzing with excitement and nervousness for the seniors. When I was a freshmen, I knew that that would be me one day, only a month from graduation.

I sit at my table, along with my friends. Christina invited Will to sit with us, and Lauren is sitting next to them. Marlene is off in the library 'studying' with Uriah and Lynn, and Shauna is off with Zeke. His best friend.

Originally, it had been Shauna who had introduced me to Zeke and Tobias, and right away he and I had a connection. I thought of those first few days, and it brought a smile to my face, but was soon transformed into a frown once I remember the last few days.

Al comes and sits next to me, sliding over half of his sandwich to me.

"Thanks." I mumble, taking a bite.

He smiles in return, eating his own sandwich.

We sit in silence, watching as others eat food, our eyes glancing at anything but each other.

"Tris." He says, after quite some time. "Is anything wrong?"

I look down at my lap, fumbling with my hands. "No..."

He grabs one of my hands and runs his thumb over my knuckles. "Is it about him?"

I frown, and look at him. He is wearing caring eyes, and a concerned expression.

I slightly nod.

"Hey, he was a douche. Don't think about him. You are an amazing girl, and I still find it hard to believe that someone would try to take advantage of you. Just know that I would never do that to you."

I rest my head on his shoulder. He always knows how to cheer me up, and keep the negative thoughts away.

When I met him, I had told him Tobias was the one to break up with me. That he was the one that was at fault, when really it was the both of us. I was just so angered at how much he seemed to not care that I guess I said things that I now regret.

I was just as guilty as he was.
