"Breakin' down, and comin' undone,
It's a roller coaster kinda rush,
And I never knew I could feel that much,
And that's the way I loved you.""Let's go on the Ferris wheel!" I beg Tobias. "Please!"
He rolls his eyes and grabs my hand, leading me to the line.
"I can't believe I'm doing this." He sighs.
"I'll pay, since you paid for ice cream and dinner."
He nods, and gets the tickets.
Earlier, he picked me up from my house, and Mom was not happy, but eventually me and Tobias convinced her it was better this time. We had been seeing each other for a week and so far, no fights. It seems it takes you losing something to realize how important it is to you.
He took me to a fancy little bistro in the city, and then we made our way to Navy Pier. We rode the carousel and had walked around talking for hours before I finally convinced him to go on the Ferris wheel.
We get on to the wheel and I grab Tobias's clenched hands.
"Thank you," I tell him, giving him a grateful smile.
"Anything for you." He says, making my small smile even bigger.
We stare out at the city and the lake as we go up, and when we get to the top, we kiss, and I know that everything is finally okay again.
