Part 4

(Karishma went to her friend's house yesterday night.)
Everyone was having breakfast when suddenly Lakshmi's phone rang.
It was an unknown number. Lakshmi picked up the call.
Lakshmi(on call): Hello! Kaun bol raha hain?
(Hello who is this?)
The person(on call): Mam hum city hospital se bol rahe hain. Kya yeh Shalu bajwa ke kisi relative ka phone hain?
(Mam I am speaking from City hospital. Is this the number of any relative of Ms.Shalu Bajwa?)
Lakshmi(on call): Haan main Shalu ki badi behen bol rahi hoon. Lekin aapne kyun phone kiya hain?
(Yes I am Shalu's elder sister but why have you called?)
The person(on call): Aapki behen aaj jiss bus se safar kar rahi thi uss bus ka accident ho gaya hain. Sab log mar chuke hain lekin aapki behen bach gayi. Vo zindagi aur maut ke beech mein jhool rahi hain. Aap please jaldi se yaha aa jaiye.
(The bus by which your sister was travelling, that bus has met with an accident. Everyone died except for your sister. She is swinging between life and death. You please quickly come here.)
The phone slipped down from Lakshmi's hands.
Rishi: Kya hua Lakshmi?
(What happened Lakshmi?)
Dadi: Kya hua hain Lakshmi puttar? Bata.....
(What happened Lakshmi ,my child? Tell.....)
Lakshmi(stumbling teary eyed): Shalu.....shalu ka ac..accident ho gaya hain. Vo zindagi aur ma...maut ke beech mein jhool rahi hain.
(Shalu has met....met with an ac....accident. She is swinging between de.....death and life.)
Saying this Lakshmi broke down.
Lakshmi: Mujhe abhi hospital jaana hain.
(I want to go to the hospital right now.)
Neelam: Kaunse hospital beta?
(Which hospital my child?)
Lakshmi(crying ):City....City Hospital. Please Rishi mujhe le kar Chalo. Mujhe milna hain Shalu se.
(City....City hospital. Please Rishi take me. I want to meet Shalu.)
Rishi: Haan haan chalo.
(Yeah yeah let's go.)
Neelam: Tum dono jao hum log bhi aate hain. Ayush tum chaloge?
(You both go we are also coming. Ayush will you go?)
Ayush got deaf after hearing about Shalu's condition. He was teary eyed and numb. He didn't hear or ask anything. He rushed to the City Hospital.
Neelam didn't understand why Ayush didn't reply.
Scene shifts to the city hospital,
Ayush reached before Rishmi.
Ayush: Shalu bajwa naam ke patient ko kaha rakha hain?
(Where is the patient named Shalu bajwa kept?)
Receptionist: Wait a minute sir I will just check and tell.......she is in the ICU.
Ayush: Ok thank you.
Ayush rushed to the ICU but as usual he was not allowed to enter nor others.
Rishmi besides everyone reached the hospital.
Lakshmi tried to enter but was stopped by Rishi.
Rishi: Lakshmi ICU ke andar kisi ko bhi nahi jaane denge.
(Lakshmi no one is allowed to go inside ICU.)
Just then the doctor came.
Doctor: Aap log inke gharwale hain?
(You are the family members of her?)
Lakshmi: Haan main uski behen hoon.
(Yes I am her elder sister.)
Doctor: Dekhiye aapki behen ki halat bohot kharab hain. Vo kaanch ki khidki se bohot buri tarah takara gayi hain. Glass pieces has pierced in her head. She is severely injured. Brain mein blood clot hain. Agar aaj shaam tak inhe hosh nahi aaya toh there are maximum chances that she may not survive. Excuse me.......
(The patient is very critical. She has crashed with the glass window very hard. Glass pieces has pierced in her head. She is severely injured.  There is a blood clot in her brain. If she doesn't regain consciousness till today evening then there are maximum chances that she may not survive.  Excuse me.........)
Doctor left.
Lakshmi(crying): Shalu ko kaise bachayenge? Vo thik to ho jaayegi na Rishi.
(How we will save Shalu.....Rishi? She will get well na Rishi?)
Rishi: Shalu zaroor thik ho jaayegi.
(Shalu will be surely cured.)
Rishi calmed Lakshmi but deep inside his heart he was also worried for Shalu's condition.
As the time was passing everyone's tension was increasing.
Ayush's heart squeezed in pain everytime he saw Shalu lying on the hospital bed. He was only finding ways to save Shalu.
An idea strikes in Lakshmi's mind.
Lakshmi: Mummy jii Pandit jii ko phone kariye please. Unke paas koi na koi tareeka zaroor hoga Shalu ko bachane ka.
(Mummy jii please call pandit jii. He will surely have a way to save Shalu.)
Neelam: Arrey haan hum toh bhul hi gaye the.
(Oh yeah I had totally forgotten. Let me call him.)
Ayush: Mami please jaldi call karo.
(Mami please call him fast.)
Neelam: Haan kar rahe hain.
(Yes I am.)
Neelam called Pandit jii.
Neelam(on call): Hello Pandit jii Shalu ki jaan khatre mein hain.
(Hello Pandit jii Shalu's life is in danger.)
Pandit jii(on call): Tum batao mujhe ki hua kya hain.
(Tell me what had happened. )
Neelam narrated everything.
Pandit jii(on call): Lakshmi ki behen ko bachane ka sirf ek hi tarika hain.
(There is only way to save Shalu's life.)
Neelam(on call):Haan please bataiye na,ap jaisa bolenge hum waisa hi karenge.
(Yes please tell the way.....we will do whatever you will tell.)
Pandit jii(on call): Lakshmi ki behen ki shaadi uss ladke se karwa do jisse uski kundali mili thi. Yani ki Karishma ke bete se.
(Marry Shalu with the person whose horoscope matches with her.....that means with Karishma's son.)
Neelam(on call):Thik hain.
(Ok.)
She cuts the call.
Lakshmi: Kya bola Pandit jii ne mummy jii?
(What did Pandit jii say mummy jii?)
Neelam: Unhone yeh bola hain ki aaj Shalu ki shaadi agar Ayush se karwa diya toh hi Shalu ki jaan bachayi jaa sakti hain.
(He said that if Ayush gets married to Shalu then she can be saved.)
Dadi: Lekin Ayush se hi kyun Neelam?
(But why Ayush Neelam?)
Neelam: Kyunki Shalu aur Ayush ki kundliyan milti hain.
(Beacuse their horoscope matches with each other. )
Lakshmi went to Ayush and joined her hands in front of Ayush.
Lakshmi: Please meri Shalu ko bacha lo. Uss se shaadi kar lo Ayush please.
(Please save my Shalu. Please marry her Ayush.)
Lakshmi was crying miserably.
Nurse came and asked them not to make noise as it is a hospital.
Ayush: Bhabi agar Shalu ki mujhse shaadi hone se Shalu ki jaan bach sakti hain toh main usse shaadi zaroor karunga.
(Bhabi if marrying Shalu can save her life then I will surely marry her.)
Neelam: Hum Karishma ko phone karte hain.
(Let me call Karishma.)
Ayush: No mami. Agar mom ko iss baare mein bhanak bhi lag gayi toh vo kabhi Shalu se meri shaadi nahi hone dengi.
(No mami. If mom gets to know anything about this then she will not let me marry Shalu.)
Neelam: Lekin Ayush......
(But Ayush.......)
Dadi: Neelam phone mat karo usse. Ayush bilkul sahi keh raha hain. Main hoon na yaha par? Main usse sambhal lungi. Abhi Shalu ki jaan bachana zyada zaroori hain. Ayush tu kar shaadi Shalu se, Karishma ko main sambhal loongi.
(Neelam Ayush is right....don't call her. I am here right? I will manage her. Saving Shalu's life is more important now. )
Ayush nodded in agreement.
Ayush: Par main Shalu se shaadi kaise karunga?Doctors kabhi inn baton par yakeen nahi karenge aur na hi allow karenge.
(But how will I marry Shalu? Doctors will never believe in these and will not allow also. )
Neelam's phone rang again. It was Pandit jii.
Pandit jii(on call): Neelam Ayush mana ki nahi?
(Neelam did Ayush agree?)
Neelam(on call):Haan man gaya hain.
(Yes he agreed.)
Pandit jii(on call):Jaldi se unki shaadi karwao. Unki shaadi ka muhraat agle 15 minutes ka hain.
(Get them married soon. The good time for their marriage is only for 15 minutes.)
Neelam(on call):Thik hain Pandit jii.
(Ok Pandit jii.)
Pandit jii cuts the call.
Neelam:Humein jo bhi karna hain 15 minute ke andar karna hoga. Kyunki agar muhrat nikal gaya toh uske baad shaadi karne ka koi faidaa nahi.
(We will have to do everything within 15 minutes as the good time is only for 15 minutes. If the time passes then there will be no use of this marriage.)
Rishi: Main doctor se permission le kar aata hoon.
(I am coming after taking permission from the doctors.)
Rishi pleaded to the doctors and after understanding everything the doctor told that they can also try in their way but if something happens they will be not responsible. Rishi agreed.
Shalu was rushed to a nearby mandir and got married to Ayush in an unconscious state.
After sometime of the marriage Shalu was taken back to the hospital.
The doctor who treated Shalu called Lakshmi, Ayush and Rishi to his cabin.
Lakshmi: Kya hua doctor? Shalu khatre se toh bahar hain na?
(What happened doctor? Shalu is out of danger right?)
Doctor: Haan vo khatre se toh bahar hain. Lekin unke dimaag mein jo blood clot hain vo badh sakta hain agar unhe zara sa bhi stress hua toh. Unko kisi bhi tareeke ka shock mat dijiye ga. Aur unka bohot acche se khyaal rakhiyega.
(Yes she is out from danger but the blood clot in her brain can increase if she gets any kind of shock or stress. Please don't give her any stress or shock and take care of her well. )
Lakshmi: Thik hain doctor. Aur hum Shalu ko ghar kab le kar jaa skate hain?
(Ok doctor. When can we take Shalu home?)
Doctor: Aap unhe kal ghar le kar jaa sakte hain.
(You can take her home tomorrow. )
Lakshmi: Thik hain doctor. Thank you.
(Ok doctor. Thank you doctor. )
Shalu had regained consciousness.
Shalu: Dii meri maang mein yeh sindoor?
(Dii.......why is my hairline filled with vermillion. )
Lakshmi: Shalu teri shaadi ho gayi hain.
(Shalu you have got married.)
Shalu(shocked): Kiss se? Aur kab? Aur kyun?
(With whom? When? And why?)
Lakshmi: Vo zarasal.....
(Shalu the matter is that.........)
Rishi: Vo zarasal tumhari shaadi Ayush se huyi hain.
(The matter is that you are married to Ayush.)
Shalu: Kyun? Aur kis ki marzi se?
(Why? With whose permission?)
Lakshmi: Vo Shalu teri kundali mein......
(Shalu your horoscope........)
Rishi cut off Lakshmi's words as he has promised Ayush something.
Rishi narrated everything but with one lie that her kundali dosh was for only for 2 years.
Lakshmi: Accha ab tu aram kar hum aate hain.
(Shalu now you take rest we will come after sometime.)
Shalu was not replying anything. She was numb.
Lakshmi brought Rishi out.
Lakshmi: Tumne Shalu se jhooth kyun bola?
(Why did you lie to Shalu?)
Rishi: Kyunki Ayush ne mujhse promise manga ki......
(Beacuse Ayush had made me promise that.........)
Flashback,
When Lakshmi besides everyone was coming back to the hospital with Shalu, Ayush stopped Rishi in the mandir and.....
Ayush: Rishi bhai aapko Lakshmi bhabi ki kasam. Aap Shalu ko wahi bolenge jo main keh raha hoon.
(Rishi bhai you have Lakshmi bhabi's swear that you will tell Shalu only which I will  tell you. )
Rishi: Ek minute tu kya bulwana chahta hain mujhse?
(Wait a minute.......what do you want me to tell?)
Ayush: Aap mujhse waada karo ki aap Shalu ko yahi bolenge ki uska kundali dosh sirf 2 saal ke liye hain kyunki iss wakt mein uska stress lena bilkul sahi nahi hoga. Aur agar usse pata chala ki usse mere saath apni poori zindagi beetani padegi toh vo stress le legi aur uski tabiyaat aur kharab ho jaaegi.
(You will tell Shalu that her horoscope problem is only for 2 years because at this condition it is not right for her to take stress and if she gets to know that she will have to spend her whole life with me then she will take stress due to which her condition can get worse.)
Rishi nodded in agreement.

Rishi: Isiliye maine Shalu se jhoot bola.
(That's why I lied to Shalu.)
Lakshmi: Lekin ek na ek din toh sach saamne aa hi jaaega.
(But someday the truth will come infront.)
Rishi: Tab ka dekh lenge Lakshmi.
(We will see at that time.)
Lakshmi: Sahi bol rahe ho tum.
(You are right.)
