An hour and a half later, only 6 people were left at the party. Me, Travis, Miranda, Connor, an Aphrodite girl named Eloise, and her brother George. I didn't really know George (although I'm pretty sure he's dating his friend Jason), but Eloise was actually really sweet for an Aphrodite girl.
We were sitting in a circle when Connor said "You know what would be fun? Spin the bottle." I figured the others would shoot the idea down, but Miranda and he others agreed with him.
Connor set the bottle in the middle and began stating the rules. "Okay, so no kissing siblings or same gender; if you spin the person who just spun you, somebody new spins. And we all agree that none of these actually count?" We all nodded in agreement, and I bit my lip, praying that by the grace of some god I wouldn't have to kiss anybody.
Connor started off, and spun Miranda. They quickly kissed, and even in the dark I could see Miranda's cheeks glowing. Connor's too, if I wasn't mistaken. It was then Miranda's turn, and she spun George. George spun Miranda, so it was someone else's turn.
Travis volunteered, and I held my breath as he spun. The bottle seemed to spin in slow motion, going round and round until it landed in front of me. I looked up at him, and he raised his eyebrows, almost like he was asking for permission. I took a breath and nodded slightly.
He leaned in and gently pressed his lips against mine for about half a second. I backed away, and thanked the gods that it was dark out, because I could feel that my cheeks were red.
I tried to play it off, and spun the bottle again. It landed on Travis. "Oh." I laughed. "Someone else's turn." Eloise spoke up. "Well I haven't done anything yet so I'll go." She grabbed the bottle and spun. It landed on Travis. They looked at each other for a second and then kissed.
It wasn't anything special, just like all of the other kisses, but for some reason my heart dropped.
I ended up spinning Travis 2 more times throughout the night. None of the kisses were special, but by the end of the night, I felt a little different towards the elder Stoll brother.
