(Sparrows P.O.V)
After the meal Jay and I decided to check out the palace garden. Everything was neatly trimmed, and the air smelled like fresh cut grass. I looked around and there was an opening in the tree line. As I walk towards it two guards appear out of nowhere.
"Pardon us princess but no one is aloud back here except the royal family needs to escape."
"What is this?"
"This is the royal escape maze there is traps codes and dangerous creatures that could tear you to shreds."
I wanted to go in there. The curiosity was overwhelming. I edged away from the mysterious maze.
"Sparrow?" Jay whispered.
"Yes?"
"Where do you want to go now?"
"I'd like to see Rose."
"I will see if I can arrange that."

Jay lead me down a steep set of stone stairs. As we got down, a song was sung.
" The Kings shackles hold us down. All our smiles turn to frowns. Freedom, Freedom. Shackles fall to the floor. Freedom, Freedom. We yell more and more. Freedom, Freedom."
The song continued on. Then when the guards saw me and Jay the thruster their hands through the bars and bellowed.
"Help us!"
"Food!"
"We are starving!"
I put on a poised face and walked on. We rounded a few corners. I then saw a cell that had a small child. She was covered in dirt, and was scrawny. I immediately searched my pockets for anything edible. I found a little bag full of orange slices. I walk up to the cell.
"Hey... psst."
The little girl turned her head toward me.
"Come here."
She came forward and she was in so much pain that each step produced a yelp of pain.
"Yes ma'am?"
She was smaller than me.
"I have something for you."
Jay was watching me with curiosity. I hand the little girl the bag of orange slices. Her face lights up.
"T-thank You!"
A smile crept on my face.
"No worries. How old are you?"
"7 and a half."
A shocked expression spread across my face.
"Why are you in a jail cell?"
"I'm the unwanted child of the king."
"W-what's your name?"
"Delilah. What's yours?"
"I am Sparrow."
She automatically curtsied in her ragged, torn dress.
"No, Delilah you don't have to do that."
"Yes ma'am."
She slowly made it to her corner. Then she sat and nibbled at the oranges, savoring the flavor. Me and Jay continued on our trek to Rose's cell. Jay looked at me and said.
"Why would you do that?"
"Do what?"
"Give food to Delilah but not to anyone else?"
"Well first it's a child. Second what kind of psychotic person locks up their child because the didn't want them?!?"
Jay nodded in agreement.

We finally made it to Rose's cell. She was curled up in a ball gripping her side that was lightly bandaged.
"Rose." Jay said.
Rose turned her head around and stared at me.
"W-where were you! I was dying and... where is Jay?! Did you let him be captured?"
"No of course not. He's-"
"You stole him from me!"
Her hand struck out through the bars and she gripped the neck of my shirt. She pulled me closer and lifted me up.
"YOU WILL PAY!"
Jay hit Rose and she let go holding her arm.
"Sparrow are you okay?"
"J-Jay is that you?" Rose asked.
He swiftly raised his mask and whispered.
"I am wanted here okay! I am only here right now because I am protecting her."
Rose looked away.
"Listen was thinking you wouldn't resort to this but I was wrong. Very wrong."
Jay put his mask back on.
"Jay... I'm-"
We walk away.
"JAY!"
