We were falling down a hole. After a couple minutes of screaming we landed on a slide. The slide wasn't long but it brought us inside the base. There was two of the rebels guarding the exit of the slide. They saw us and grabbed our shoulders and pinned us to a wall right behind us.
"How did you find this entrance!?"
Jay looked at them and said
"I knew it was here."
"What's the passcode?"
"Maple trees in the summer."
"Hey why are you dressed like that? Are you guys undercover?"
"Yea we were for a little bit. We have to speak to the chief!"
"She is probably in her hut."
"Thanks."
Me and Jay ran till we reach the tree huts. We climbed up the tree an walked to the biggest tree hut. We knocked on the door and it slowly squeaked open. I looked at Jay and pulled out my pistol and walked through the door. The chief was tied up on the floor and the door slammed behind us. We spun around and there was three guards. I quickly pocketed my pistol.
"What are you two doing here?"
"We are the recruits you requested... Sir."
"Oh, so we have caught the chief so no more rebel attacks."
Another guard walks up to me and says
"Since when do we have girls in the army?"
"Since, a while now."
"What's your solider code?"
"Uh...." I look around in the helmet for a code. This girl was a recruit. She must of forgotten! I can't find the number.... Good lord! "4460"
I hope I was right!
"There is no 4460!"
Jay looks over at me. Then Jay says
"Uh sir she is very forgetful of her number I was entrusted with teaching her her code number.... I have obviously failed that.... I am sorry sir."
"You aren't forgiven that's a basic lesson!"
"Men take her helmet off."
"Wait! Uh you can't do that!" I yelled out.
"Why can't I?"
"I have a deadly disease..... Very contagious"
"Which one?"
"Um the doctor wouldn't tell me."
The third guard speaks up and says
"Well I looked you up on my wrist communicator and it says that you are in perfect health."
Oh great I'm gonna die! Two of the guards tackled me and the commander pulled off my helmet.
"It's Sparrow Collins!"
"Hello again... Let me go!"
"No your going straight to the prince!"
"Wait can I say goodbye to my rebel partner?"
"Fine take this guard with you."
He points to Jay.
"Ok."
We walk to my room.
"Jay I can't go! I don't want to!"
"Shhhh it's ok."
He grabs me and holds me in his arms.
"Were gunna run away."
"Jay! We've been spotted how are we going to get away from here?"
"We are going to take your little escape tree path. We are going to take you to the meadow until the guards leave the base. I promised to protect you... and I'm keeping that promise. No matter what."
I was crying in his arms.
"Let's go."
We quickly packed up the guard suits, the guns, nurse kit and some food. We sneak around to the back of my hut and start tree running. We ran about half a mile. We found our special meadow. I loved it because there was trees and it was a meadow. It was beautiful!
