The guards went outside and fixed the tires while Jay looked around for the keys. I stared down at my feet and realized I don't have shoes on. I thought it was strange to notice it now. I laid back against the cot and felt the hairband in my sloppy bun. I took out the hairband and let my hair fall down, and put the hairband around my wrist. My hair was a little tangled, but since I had no hairbrush I ran my fingers through it a couple times. I looked at what I was wearing and realized I was still wearing my green camouflage tank top and my grey sweatpants. I felt embarrassed at my appearance although I had no time to pick out an outfit. I was a little too busy being carried off by some guards.

Jay finally found the keys and unlocked the handcuffs around my ankle. The commander came over and said "Jay you take Sparrow to the base while I stall the other guards." Jay looked at the commander and said "But what if the realize that you're not the commander?" "Then tell chief that I was happy to serve." Jay looked disappointed and nodded. He stood up straight and saluted the man disguised as the commander. The man went outside and stalled while Jay scooped me up in his arms and carried me into a forest that I've never seen before.

The green tree leaves and bushes looked so beautiful and calming. I was so relaxed I felt so sleepy. Ever since I was taken from home which wasn't but a few hours ago I felt at peace I was hoping that this 'base' was as peaceful and calming as this.
