When Riah pulls up, I ain't gon' cap, I'm nervous. My heart is thumping because I don't know if she's gonna be on some bullshit or not.
"Wassup mama, you mad at me?" I ask, pulling Riah into my arms and kissing her neck softly when she gets out the car. After she hugs me back, she steps away and folds her arms, pouting.
"Hell yeah, I'm mad at you, nigga. You out here movin' hella sus but...I ain't come here to fight." She says and wets her lips with a quick swipe of her tongue.
I wrap my arms around her again and pull her close to shield us from the snow flurries coming down as we lean against her car.
"Aight mama, you right and I apologize for that. I know you get jealous as fuck and be buggin', keyin' my car and shit so I ain't wanna say nothing." I tell her.
Riah pouts and looks down at her feet.
"Okay, I get why you didn't wanna tell me 'cause I keyed your car but you still coulda kept it one hunnid with me if you ain't fuckin' the bitch."
"Why she gotta be a bitch?" I ask curiously.
Wrong move.
"You fuckin' her?" Riah snaps back right away.
When I blink, Kasey bent over my bed, moaning my name plays behind my eyelids.
"Nah." I say quietly.
"Look me in my face and tell me you ain't fuckin' her, Sapphire."
I look her dead in the eyes and shake my head.
"I ain't fuckin' her, Riah."
Riah presses our lips together and kisses me softly. She rests her hands around my neck and then tugs on my bottom lip.
My clit jumps.
"I better not find out you lyin'." She mumbles against my lips. "Am I allowed to meet her or what? I wanna see if she look better than me at least."
"Of course not, bae." I say smoothly. "You can come inside."
I laugh and lead the way up my driveway.
Once we're inside where it's warm, Riah looks around at the baby stuff in the living room before her eyes fall on Kasey sitting on the couch.
"Riah, this is baby mama. Baby mama, this Riah." I introduce the two of them quick so Riah can hurry up and bounce.
"Hey." Kasey waves. "It's actually just Kasey."
"Okay, hey girl." Riah smiles. "You fuckin' her?"
Oh, wow.
"Girl, I already told you the answer is no." I answer quickly.
"I know what you said and I'm askin' Kasey. You fuckin' her?" Riah asks again.
Kasey doesn't skip a beat.
"Nah, I'm not."
"Mmm, aight." Riah mumbles, still staring at Kasey as she sizes up her post pregnancy body which is banging, by the way.
"I don't like girls." Kasey says. "I don't know why she wants to be in my daughters life but I'm not gonna turn down help. So, whatever y'all got going on has nothing to do with me."
"Mmm, whatever. I didn't like girls either and now I don't give niggas the time of day. But I hear you, girl. I'm gon' chill."
Thank God!
"Walk me to my car though. I just wanted to meet her. Imma go home before the roads get too bad. Nice meetin' you, Kasey."
"Yeah, same to you."
I get up and walk Riah outside. The wind gives me a good excuse to cut the make out session she starts short because it's too cold for that shit.
"Call me later, daddy." Riah kisses me one more time and then ducks into her car.
When I get back inside, Kasey lights the blunt and turns on some music. It's smooth and relaxing but I don't recognize the singer.
Either way, I'm fucking with the vibe.
"This is some strong weed." Kasey says after a while. She coughs and passes the nicely rolled blunt towards me. I'm impressed.
"Yeah, I know. Purple haze is an all time favorite. You feelin' it? Good job, by the way." I ask her as she lets her hair fall from the bun from earlier.
It moves in slow motion like in a movie and I'm mesmerized. When she shakes the locs free, her smile makes my skin tingle.
"Mhm. You know we ain't having sex again, right?" She says, biting the inside of her cheek.
"Whatever you say, Kasey."
"Aww, now I'm just Kasey? You being sensitive?" Her giggle leaves my ears ringing. The sound is so beautiful, I know it's only a matter of time before I get addicted to it too.
"Nah, girl." I brush her off and shake my head but I want to laugh.
"Anyways, don't say it like that."
"Like what?" I stare back as Kasey shifts uncomfortably. I can't get over how cute she is.
"Like you don't believe me."
I laugh and shrug.
"I'm foreal, that was a one time thing to induce labor."
Except it happened twice...
"I been said aight shorty. Why you draggin' it?" I ask as we share an intense gaze.
"Whatever, Sapphire."
When the blunt is in the ashtray, Kasey stretches out on the couch, high as hell. She rubs her eyes sleepily which makes them redder and I can't stop staring at her.
After a while, we turn the music off and finish watching the last of X-Men on TV.
"How come you're playing with Riah's feelings?" Kasey asks as the movie goes on another commercial break.
"I'm not."
"What do you call it then?" She challenges and sits up to give me a clearer view of her pretty face.
"Every time I try to break things off with her, it goes the opposite of how I planned. So at this point, I don't know what else to do."
"You love her?"
"What? Nah, I don't love her like that. I mean I got love for her but when I think about the woman that gets me to settle down, she ain't bat shit crazy."
"Sometimes good sex makes you crazy." She counters, like she knows from experience. She's right too.
"I guess so."
"Do you think you'll ever settle with one woman?" Kasey asks curiously.
"Probably not." I shrug. "Women are complicated. My momma wants me to find a nice girl and stay with her. But..."
"But city girls ain't nice." She smirks and begins folding the blanket she was wrapped in a few minutes ago.
"I attract crazy, jealous girls. Ain't nothin' nice about them." I laugh
"Mhmm, maybe you should get you a good girl then and stop breaking these city girls hearts."
"Yeah, maybe I should if they existed."
"Mhmm, we do. But I'm high as hell though. I'm gonna call it a night. It's your turn to get Zaylee when she wakes up." Kasey ignores the way my eyes travel over her body when she stretches.
"Aight, I gotchu. Night ma."
"Goodnight, Sapphire."
