When I met Kasey and Zaylee, I had no idea how important they would become to me. I've been with women and plenty of women with kids but never one like Kasey. I don't know what it is about her but she made it so easy to fall for someone else's baby...
"See you later, boo." Kasey says and kisses my lips softly before walking out the front door.
I smile, ignoring the uncomfortable feeling in the pit of my stomach. I decided not to bring up the text from her baby daddy because I don't want her to get the wrong impression. It's still bothering me though.
So I take a shower and get dressed for the day. After that, I get a little excited to get Zaylee dressed because usually, Kasey's her stylist. When I'm done, I glance at the clock on my phone, get her settled in the car seat and take a picture to send to her mama.

"I was starting to think I needed to hire help since you're a family woman now." Momma says as I wash my hands in the kitchen. I roll my eyes dramatically but the smile remains on my face.
I missed her too.
"What's the matter, honey?" She asks with Zaylee in her arms soaking up every drop of her attention.
I grab a paper towel from the holder and dry my hands off before leaning against the counter. Zaylee coos and smiles at momma like she's the one who takes care of her. She don't even smile at me and Kasey like that yet!
"How you figure something's wrong?" I ask casually.
"You're my child. Now, what's wrong, Sapphire?"
"Ion want you to get the wrong idea when I say this..." I pause when a frown covers her face.
"Say it then, chile."
"So I saw this message in Kasey's phone from her baby daddy and ever since I did, I feel weird. I'm not tryna make it a big deal because we literally just made stuff official today but..."
