After Mercedes left earlier, I expected Kasey to come home that night but she didn't.
When 8pm comes around and she's still not home, I roll a blunt and go upstairs to take a shower to clear my thoughts. I tell myself I don't care that she's still not home but even I don't believe it.
It's crazy how often I find myself thinking about Kasey, even if she isn't thinking about me. At this point though, I don't know what to think about that.
Maybe she is thinking about me...
As I step out of the shower, a message flashes across my phone but I don't reach it in time before the screen goes black. It's probably Riah, so I don't rush to check it.
Instead, I take my time putting on lotion before slipping on a sports bra and the matching black boy shorts. When I'm comfortable in spandex shorts, I walk back into the bathroom and reach for my phone on the back of the toilet.
My stomach drops when I see who's name is on the screen.
