(Kanae's Pov)
Shinobu has been going out a lot as of late. She's also been happier and smiling more often. It's November and I've never seen her fake smile since the beginning of the school year.
"I'm heading out!" Shinobu suddenly announced. 'Again? Where the hell is she going? How come I haven't seen a fake smile on her face yet? Why is she so joyful all of a sudden? I have got to get to the bottom of this. But Shinobu's already gone. I'll investigate tomorrow then.' After coming to that conclusion, I went to the dining room to eat. Knowing Shinobu, she would probably come back at 8 or 9 pm.

A few hours, Shinobu came back more joyful than ever. Her smile was so bright it looked like it was still daytime. It was even brighter than Rengoku's smile. Is that even possible? I've never seen her smile like this.
"Shinobu, where were you?" I asked.
"I was out with a friend." She replied.
"Who were you with." I inquired.
"A friend."
"Which one?"
"That's not important. If you don't mind I'm going to my room." She said.
"Wait, one last question," I declared she looked at me and tilted her head. Her smile's too bright.
"Why is your smile brighter than the sun itself?" Her smile is blinding.
"Just had a fun day. Also because of something a friend told me." She smiled and went to her room. 'Something a friend told her huh. Wonder what it is.'
(Shinobu's Pov)
-flashback from two days ago-
"Hey, Tomioka-san, I was wondering." Tomioka-san tilted his head which made me giggle. I found his cluelessness funny somehow.
"When's your birthday? You never told me." I said intrigued.
"Google exists for a reason. Why didn't you search it up?" He asked
"That would just be creepy. I prefer asking you. So when is it?"
"February 8th"
"Ara ara~ Your birthday is sixteen days before mine." He tilted his head again making me giggle again.
"My birthday is February 24th," I stated. "Also, don't tell Kanae that I've been hanging out with you," I added.
"Why?"
"Because I don't want her finding out?"
"Why?"
"You ask too many questions. This is why no one likes you Tomioka-san."
"At least I'm not a mosquito."
"Ara ara~ Tomioka-san do you have a death wish?" I tick mark appeared on my forehead at that moment.
(Why was she smiling? Because while she was out she thought of something to do on Tomioka-san's birthday.)
