He's Back

(Shinobu's Pov)

"Shinobu wake up!" I heard my sister yell. I groaned, not wanting to wake up due to the immense pain in my stomach. Kanae soon busted into the room. "Wake up. We have school," she said.

"No. You have school. My schedule is: eat, sleep, and feel pain," I grumbled as my older sister sat on my bed. "You not feeling well?" she asked in a slightly worried tone. I glanced at her with my left eye, a look of disbelief in it.

"Well, no fucken shit, Sherlock. I want to jump off a cliff. I'm dying over here." Kanae's eye twitched as she looked at me. "Sounds like a you problem," she said as she got up. "You're the worst," I muttered in annoyance and pain.

"I'll go get the painkillers," She announced before leaving. I'll just assume that everyone already woke up since I'm the only one here at the moment.

Kanae soon came back with a cup of water and pills. "You need to eat first," She said. "Fuck that! No!"I replied, not wanting to eat. "Then suffer." After saying that, she walked off. I squalled in annoyance as I covered myself with my bed sheets.

"Shinobu?" A voice said as they entered the room. I looked over to see my best friend. I hummed as she walked up to me and sat down.

She placed her hand on my back, rubbing it. "Just eat... please... so you can take the painkillers..." I shook my head in response as she frowned. Mitsuri sighed before standing up. "See you after school then. Maybe." With that, she left.

Soon, everyone had left and I was left alone. Or so I assumed since school had started by now. I lay in bed, trying to fall asleep, but failed. I felt so uncomfortable at the moment.

I opened my eyes, looking at my door as it opened. It was Kanae. She came in with a tray of food, sighing. "Shinobu, You're such a pain," she said as I glared at her.

She sat down next to me, making me sit up. I only cursed as the pain grew even more. She took the chopsticks, holding them up to my mouth.

I looked at her with a frown. "I can eat by myself," I said but she didn't budge. "If you eat on your own, you won't eat. Now open your mouth before I shove this down your throat," She countered. I took a deep breath before opening my mouth. Kanae fed me, making me finish the food.

After being force-fed, I took the painkiller with a feeling of slight resentment. I reluctantly thanked her since without her around, I'd probably be in the hospital due to stomach problems.

"You can go now. You're already late. I'll be there in a few," I said as Kanae left the room. I got ready for school, outlining my lips with some lip liner. I used some lip plumper to make them seem more voluminous.

I dabbed the lipstick on my lips a few times before rubbing them together. Once done, I put on some lip oil, and lip shimmer, doing my eyelashes next.

I finally finished, taking my bag before heading downstairs where I saw Kanae waiting for me. I sighed, looking up at her. "I thought you left," I said as she giggled. "Well, I couldn't leave you to walk alone now could I?" she answered as I rolled my eyes, walking out the door. Kanae laughed lightly before walking out, closing the door behind her before locking it.

As I was walking with Kanae to school, I heard a familiar blood-curdling voice call my name. "Shinobu-chan!" Already knowing who it was, Kanae and I started walking faster. I opened my bag, quickly looking for my earbuds. I knew I put them in there but I couldn't find them. This is the worst time to be searching for my earbuds only to not be able to find them.

"Shinobu-chan!" The voice shouted again as the footsteps got closer. Kanae and I picked up the pace as I finally found my earbuds. I then started looking for my phone, almost freezing when I realized that I left it at home. "Here," Kanae said as she handed me my phone, I mouthed a "thank you" as I put my earbuds in my ears, putting my playlist on shuffle play before Kanae grabbed my hand, and picked up the pace.
