Lorelei's POV:
I sighed as i leaned on the rail of the cruise ship. It was bad enough that my mom made me tag along on her honey moon as a "early vacation with my new and improved family" but I had to listen to the couple next door fight with each other because Dave had convinced my mom that it was the "best room in the suite" Dave wasn't my family Dave was a stranger that my mom had known for three months and then he had asked her to marry him she said yes because she thought it would be better for me, well it wasn't sorry mom you just managed to somehow make my life worse than it already was. "Hey Lori!" My friend Dylan yelled from above, "I need your help, the sushi bar dude doesn't speak English!" I laughed and climbed onto the rail."I'll be right there" I said as I jumped up and grabbed the bottom rail of the next balcony. I swung up and pulled myself onto the balcony.
"You do know the stairs were like ten steps away from where you were standing right?" Dylan teased. I laughed and spoke in a whiny voice.
"Yeah, they were so far away!" Dylan laughed as we walked towards the sushi bar.
"So" Dylan said in his evil plan making voice, "You go up to that sushi guy- dude, figure out what language he speaks and order me some eel rolls." He patted my back as if to say, Get going! I shook my head rapidly and made a pouty face.
"Why eel rolls!?" I said in disgust, "At least get something that looks decent!" Dylan laughed at the look of horror on my face.
"Well that's impossible because all sushi is disgusting!" He said attempting to imitate me.
"You know" I said, the sides of my mouth pulling into a smile, "I think your getting better at failing to imitate me" Dylan chucked as he scratched his head.
"yeah I've been working on it" I could tell he was done with our conversation, he just wanted something to eat.
"Well I'll order you something but you're going to have to go and get it your self because I am not going anywhere near the seafood." I said. Dylan shook his head in agreement.
"Ok ok just go order me something in whatever language that guy is speaking." Dylan said with impatience. He walked away from me muttering about how they shouldn't hire people who don't speak English to serve sushi to people who speak only English.
I walked over to the sushi bar to figure out that the man was Japanese, and ordered a plate of the least disgusting looking sushi I could find (which was still pretty disgusting, of course because it was sushi). I found Dylan around the corner watching the ten year old kids below attempt to play water polo."Hey" I said sneaking up behind him at making him jump and turn around.
"What?!" He said confused and scared. I started to laugh, "Go get your sushi I told the man it was an order for Dylan."
"Thanks Lori" he said, "Do you wanna stay here or come with me?"
"I'm good, the less I can be around seafood the better" I said.
"Suit yourself" Dylan said as he turned and walked back around the corner. I looked out across the sea and thought about what my life would be like after this was over, after Dave would realize that I'm not just a normal teenager. That he was only making things worse for me. Dylan came back with a plate of sushi. "So" he said stuffing his mouth full of sushi. He swallowed as I turned my head to look at him, "Are we going to that dance tonight?"
__________________________ AN- Ok so I know this is SUPER short (and boring) however it will get more interesting and the other chapters will be longer. I just wanted to get the first chapter out before I left for the beach. I have no idea if I'll update there but I go back to school right when I get back so it might take awhile.
Please tell me if you ship Lorelei and Dylan! if you do leave a ship name in the comments cause I have no ideas!Cya soon!!!
