Dylan's POV: We walked through the tropical forest with Lori half limping half walking, I could tell it really hurt but she tried to walk as much as possible to cause less trouble, I really wished she wouldn't do that, she could hurt herself even more. However she refused to completely lean on me.
We didn't have any supplies so it was gonna be hard to build a shelter. "Look! There's a plateau! Let's walk around it, maybe we can-" Lori yelped and fell to the ground. "Ow oh my gosh, Dylan, I don't know what happened, ow!" She had tried to get up.

"Look don't move or it'll hurt like crazy just stay calm, can you tell me anything that happened, did you tip on something?" I said looking at the path where we were walking.

"No, no" she said holding her ankle, "knee gave out and I rolled my ankle."

"Ouch, do you think you rolled it all the way?" I said trying to figure out a way to make a brace or something else that I could maybe at least wrap it in and I was not going to use my pants (sorry Lori but it probably would have been uncomfortable anyway...)

"Yeah I defiantly rolled it all the way" Lori said still holding her ankle.

"Well we can't stay out here in the middle of the forest forever" I said, "Let's walk around the plateau and see if we can find anything." I said, "I'll help you get up, here." I put my arm under her shoulders and helped her up, she screamed with pain. "Lor-"

"I'm ok" Lori said after stabling herself, "Let's go.". We walked around the plateau a little more, "Ow!" Lori said, she had run into a tree branch and had a little scrape on her cheek, I couldn't help it, I let out a little chuckle. "Dylan that's not funny!" Lori said complaining.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry" I said still smirking, "It just seems like your a little accident prone today that's all" I turned my head away and smiled then I shook my head a little, stopped smiling and turned my head back around. "Ow!" Lori complained as a branch hit her forehead. I burst out laughing. "Dylan stop!" Lori said rubbing her head.

"I can't!" I said half laughing half trying to straighten my face to make it look like I wasn't smiling. After a minute or two I made myself stop laughing. We decided to rest, Lori went to lean on the side of the plateau but fell through it. I wanted to laugh so bad but I didn't because this could be our shelter.
Lori (in pain) yelled for me to come behind all the vines that she thought was a wall. I walked through and there was a small piece of land that had beautiful green grass and you could see the sky through the hollow roof (that wasn't there). This was perfect, for now, eventually I would have to make a hut or something just incase it rained. However I would have to at least find water to drink and clean Lori's cut. And food if I got lucky. No matter what Lori wasn't coming with me. She needed to rest.

"We should go find some water now" Lori said trying to get up and yelping.

"Hey Lori, you should stay here and rest I'll find a river or something ok?" I tried to explain.

"We can't split up, something could happen and we wouldn't be able to help each other!" Lori looked so scared but I brushed it off, I had to get water and she could not come.

"Look it might seem like a bad idea but it's the only one that will work." I said confidently.

"Fine but if we both die its your fault" she said slightly playfully.

"Alright!" I said, "See ya!" I said as I walked through the vines.

"Bye! Good luck!" Lori called after me. I walked through the forest carefully noting everywhere I went. I kept walking for a while until I started hearing water running. I started towards the sound until I found a stream.

"Finally!" I said as I walked toward the stream. I heard a snort and saw a boar upstream, oh crap. I ran to the nearest tree and ducked behind it, the boar looked at me obviously annoyed that I had disrupted him. The boar ran right next to the tree I was behind lightly grazing my arm. I climbed the tree and the boar ran into it causing it to shake. It ran back and hit the tree two more times. Then it gave up and walked away.
I sighed and climbed back down the tree. I walked over to the stream and washed my arm off. I took the water into my hands and drank a lot. How was I going to get the water back to Lori? Stupid, I thought to myself I should have just let Lori come.
I grabbed some of the dirt at the bottom of the stream and clenched it in my hand, I let go but the dirt didn't filter out, it stayed in my hand. It had stuck together, it was clay. That's how I would carry the water! I made a big bowl out of clay and let it dry a little in the sun.
As the sun set I filled the bowl with water. I walked back towards the plateau making sure to follow the path I had noted to myself previously. I was careful not to spill the water but I had to walk extra slow. By the time I got back to the plateau it was dark and I knew that Lori would be worried. I walked through the vines and immediately Lori was up in my face. "Dylan?"
"Yeah"
"what were you thinking!"Lori said with frustration, "you were gone for like 3 or 4 hours and all I could do was wait for you!"

"Calm down and drink some water" I said putting the bowl down.

"Wow" Lori said looking at the weirdly shaped bowl. "That's what you put the water in?" She said with curiosity.

"Uh yeah that's all I could come up with." I said scratching my head, "Sorry?"

"No, no it was a good idea, thanks" Lori said.

"Drink what you want cause after that I have to clean up your bloody leg." I said.
After that Lori drank some water and I removed my t-shirt from her leg, yeah I was defiantly not putting that back on. I placed the t-shirt into the bowl of water and ringed it out. The cut had seemed to mostly stopped bleeding. I dabbed the t-shirt on the cut several times to clean it up, then u put it back in the water. I continued this process until the cut was clean then I took the t-shirt and tied it back around Lori's leg.

AN: ok so I hope u guys liked this chapter and I hope this makes up for missing a day of uploading.
So yeah schools starting and I will probably update when I feel like it but at least every other day I hope u like it so far and please vote and comment with any suggestions or questions.
