Jade
Pt. 2
Rain pattered down onto the windshield, as I drove down the highway. It was coming down so hard I could barely see the cars around me. The headlights from the cars on the opposite side were brighter than ever. I turned on the radio, and of course it's Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran. I never really paid attention to the lyrics of the song until now.
I feel a buzzing in my jacket pocket. I slide my thumb across the screen and answer. "Hello?" I say.
"Jade," it's Alex, he's panting and it's hard to hear him over the loud rain in the background. "I...uh...kinda need a little help."
"Why? What happened?" I swerve out of the way of a car that cut me off, horns sounding from all directions.
"My...cars out of gas and I don't really want to deal with a tow truck".
"Seriously??" I yelled, very frustrated. "Well if I'm going to take you home, I need a place to stay. Can we make a deal?"
"Yeah, sure apsolutelly."
"Alright, where are you?"

"So, this is it," Alexander said, spreading his arms out wide, showing me the whole open area of the apartment. His shoes left wet marks on the wood floor as he walked to the kitchen, "make yourself at home."
The first thing I noticed in Alex's apartment was the piano. I slowly made my way over to it, my shoes squeaking as I walk. I move my fingers over the top of each key and gently play middle c. "You play?" I ask, he doesn't look like the type of person to play an instrument. Yet alone such a peaceful one as the piano.
"Yeah, I play pretty well, I guess. Playing helps me take my mind off things. I love the way I can control and weave each note to create something greater than myself."
He walked over, sat on the stool in frot of the piano, and began to play. The music he played flowed out of him as easily as the words from his mouth did. His eyes and hands were focused on playing each note. He completely shit out the rest of the world. I closed my eyes and listened closely to each and every note. It was a fast paced song, and also a song I'd never heard before. Although I could tell a few of the notes were a little misplaced, it was still beautiful.
"Chasing Trains," he said confidently.
"What?"
"It's a song my mom and I made. Well, she helped with it a little. That's what I played." He said.
"It was beautiful, I could never play like that"
"Of course you could, beautiful, I can teach you" He replied, smiling as he rose from the piano.
"So-" I was cut off. He leaned forward, inching closer to me, then finally pressing his lips against mine. I put my hands around the back of his neck and kissed him back, deeper. He wrapped his arms around my waist and picked me up as I wrapped my legs around his waist.
Our movements synchronized as well as our breathing, and he pressed my back up against the wall. Alex pulled away and began kissing me down my neck, leaving little marks on my skin, then stopping at my collarbone. He paused and looked at my swollen lips then gently bit my bottom lip, and kissed me again for a long time. My hands moved through his hair and I pressed myself closer and closer to his body.
Alex pulled me away from the wall. Holding me up by my butt, he carried me over to the couch. Alex looses his footing and we fall together, onto the chair.
"Hahaha good job, Alex" I laughed, kissing him again.
"What are you talking about? I meant to do that." He slurred his words, he was obviously about to fall asleep.
I smiled and rolled over to where my back was facing his stomach. Our breathing was in sync and I fell asleep almost instantly as he wrapped his arms tight around me and said, "Goodnight Jade, my beautiful."

Sorry I keep changing the name of the book. I'm not really good with titles.
