"You're falling for him, aren't you?"

I find four girls hanging around in the kitchen.

Two of them are sitting on the bar stools, and the other two are leaning against the counter with their front. They're all in their sweatpants and hoodies, and they're all sipping from a glass of white wine.

"Hi guys." I interrupt them in between their chatter and laughter and close the front door behind me. Four pairs of eyes look up from their conversation. "June, you're finally here!" Savannah exclaims excitingly as she walks up to me, hugging me tight. "I haven't seen you all day, but thank God, you're still alive! We almost lost you last night. I was so scared, you know."

I can tense she's a little drunk from the wine, but I appreciate her relief. "Well, you don't have to be scared. I'm here now."

She gives me one more hug and then grabs my arm, leading me into the kitchen where Leah, Madison and Quinn send me toothy smiles. I think they're all a bit tipsy. I greet them by giving a quick smack on the cheek, and I then join Leah and Madi on one of the bar stools.

"We're having a girls night, so we were actually waiting for you to come," Savannah says. I just smile weakly.

Leah sees the fake smile I put on and says, "Oh dear God, give her some wine right now."
She elbows Madison—who is sitting next to her— and motions for her to pour me some wine. I chuckle, dropping my head in my hands. "Yes, thank you," I sigh, looking down. "That's exactly what I need."

Quinn and Savannah walk around the kitchen island toward me, and Leah and Madi rise from their bar stools. I feel hands caressing my hair comfortingly, and someone hugs me from behind.

"What happened, hun?"
I hear it's Quinn who's asking because of her accent. I sigh, sitting up again. Madi gives me the wine, and I thank her before pouring a big sip down my throat.

"Well," I begin, putting down the glass. "We kissed."

It's silent for a moment, but after a second or two I almost have to cover my ears. The girls are freaking out, and Savannah is even jumping excitedly after hearing the news. "I'm so happy for you! So it's all good now? Are you guys together?" Leah asks as she hugs me.

Um... I probably should've mentioned the kiss last.

I shake my head. "No, wait. It's not what it looks like."

"Not what it looks like?" Savannah asks as she grins before her smile drops and realization hits her. Her eyes widen when she says, "Oh my God, you fucked him, didn't you?"

The other girls raise their hands and cover their mouths with wide eyes. "Shut.... up," Madi mutters under her breath, sipping her wine. I chuckle a little at their reactions, but shake my head again. "Are you serious, Sav? We were literally outside on the streets."

Savannah's eyes grow even wider. "You fucked him in the bushes? Girl, I'm so proud of you." Quinn, Leah and Madi bring, once again, their hands up and cover their mouths after hearing that. I roll my eyes. "No, we didn't have sex and especially not in the bushes. We had a fight and then he kissed me and then we had another fight."

Their hands uncover their mouths and go back to caress my shoulders reassuringly. Then I explain everything that's happened— from the moment in the lobby with Sonny and Carlos, to the moment we just had in the hallway.

Quinn's first reaction after hearing what I just said is: "What the fuck." Leah and Savannah scoff and shake their heads, while Madison rolls her eyes and says, "He's such a big baby."
