Marinette: What about?

Damian: Just... These powers we all have now.

Marinette: What about them? I find them interesting.

Damian: Oh really?

Marinette: Yeah. I've never seen anything like them. Pretty unique.

They began to swim off slowly being the others talking. "I also just realised you have multiple faces, Marinette. You have one for Tikki, one for us, one for your family. Why is that?" he questioned her. She pouted her lips up as she tapped her chin staring upwards. "I don't know. I guess my life is more entertaining that way." she smiled. "So tell me, What's the surface world like? I've always wanted to go up there."

He rose a brow. "I guess it's alright. But it's really boring." she stared at him blinking twice. "Then tell me what you did up there." she countered. "Well, I read books, I watched movies, I played with my pet Titus, I kicked villains' asses. I liked doing that *chuckles*. That was about it, plus sneaking out the house." he looked at her as she was looking at him waiting for something more. "Was that it? Sounds boring. C'mon tell me what there was to do for fun."

She kept budging him in his arm. He rolled his eyes replying, "Well..There was this one time Grayson took me took a theme park where we rode on the rollercoasters, ate candy, danced, played in an arcade. There're also water slides, the beach, the pool. Hotel resorts you could stay in on vacations.." he continued. She sweetly smiled at him imagining herself up there trying out all those things without any rules.

....With him and his family. Must've been fun. "That time you saw me on the surface, I kinda swam away from home because I got really angry at my parents and skipped the beginning of school. Going up to the surface is dangerous for us water-breathers because you humans exploit for our scales, and hair and like to show us off and take us to different places. But...I can't help myself but visit the surface. It's refreshing."

She swam on her back, her hands behind her head. "I probably should've mentioned this before but if a mermaid goes without water for too long they could dry out and die on the spot. That's why it's important to stay away from the surface." she sighed as bubbles left her mouth. She turned around and swam back in line with Damian. She placed her hand on his head, tilting her head smiling.

Marinette: Such pretty eyes for a man. Has anyone ever told you that?

Damian: No.

Marinette: *shrugs* Well, we better hurry back, dinner getting cold.
And don't worry, I won't tell anyone your secret. In fact, I wish I could join you.

Damian: I don't see why you can't.

Marinette: It's forbidden by law. I can't even if I wanted to.

Damian: Hey..just random question...

Marinette: ...Go on...

Damian: That sunshine boy..Adrien..what's his deal with you?

She opened her eyes a bit wider then looked up in wonder. She removed her hand from his head and cupped her cheeks in annoyance.

Marinette: Ehh, most of the boys who don't have a girlfriend have a thing for me. Him, Luka, even Adrien's cousin Felix who we barely even see around here.

Damian: Is that why your brother is so overprotective?

Marinette: I guess, but he's been like that since I could remember. *shrugs* Maybe he has a thing for me too.

Damian: What!?

She laughed. She slapped his back replying, "Race yah *winks*." And like that she was off. Damian smirked as he followed behind her speeding trying to catch up. They arrived to see Tikki waiting for them right outside the bubble. She waved to them as they slowed down, stopping. She led them inside and the first thing they did was drop Damian back at the mansion. They waved goodbye then left going home.

Who knew their lives would change after that.
