Protesting Proposition

DDDAAAAAAAADDDDDDDDDDDDDDDYYYYYYY!!!

The yell echoed through the halls of the hotel. The Mayor raced down the steps to the lobby to see Chloe floating...alongside everyone one of her classmates. He immediately recognised Marinette and flinched.

Mayor: Y-You..Step away from my Daughter!

Chloe: Daddy Stop This! Marinette has done nothing wrong.

Mayor: Chloe, she's led humans into our bubble with no regard or concern for our people!

Chloe: Daddy, if Marinette goes...then so do I.

Adrien: Us as well and you could say goodbye to that arranged marriage.

Rose: Marinette has a good heart and doesn't deserve to be taken out.

Alix: Rose is right. You'll be a bad president of you don't judge your citizens fairly or justly.

Milene: She deserves a chance to stay here in her home..-

Luka: And the humans too.

Marinette: Mr. Mayor, I have a proposition.

Mayor: Go on.

Marinette: What if I were to go up to the surface with them and make sure they don't spill our secret to the world?
But if I do that, my family must remain here in the city and not be harmed. If they are, then I have a right to return as well and personally deal with it.

Kim: Mari, you're banishing yourself!?

Ivan: You can't do that.

Mayor: I accept these terms..-

Gabriel: And so do I.

Adrien: Father? What are you..-

Gabriel: Ms. Dupain-Cheng, to add to that proposition, you must not see my son ever again.

Adrien: Father, You Can't Do That!!

Marinette: It's fine, Adrien. I won't be returning unless necessary. I intend to live on the surface for the rest of my life.

Alya: I know you've always dreamed of traveling to the surface but not forever. Are you sure?

Marinette: Positive.

Mayor: By the next full moon, you and the humans must be gone.

Marinette: Understood, Mr. Mayor.
But before that, I need everyone's help to pull it all off.

Nino: You can count on us, dudette!

A month and a few days had passed and the group, except for Adrien, kept looking for the ships that were said to be in search of the boys. Every time they camped and traveled further and further away from the city, the bubble got smaller and smaller in distance. Marinette finally felt a shift in the water. An army of ships that bared the same symbol as the cruise ship that sunk. "This is it, you guys! Let's draw them in, I'm gonna need all of you for this!"

They turned to their waterlilies and swam off to the different ships. They were at least a dozen of them. Alya spun around in her spot as a tornado followed as it turned into a whirl pool in the water. Then a holographic lighthouse appeared in front of them. They saw it and switched directions turning that way. Then was Ivan, Nathaniel and Juleka's turn. Nathaniel took in a deep breath bringing his head back, Ivan created an enormous bull with him on the inside as Juleka readied her arms.

And on the count of 3, Nathaniel let out a loud call that made waves in the water. Ivan stomped his hooves repeatedly increasing the waves' sizes and finally Juleka clapped her hands together and caused the ships to push forward. Sabrina, Max, Luka, Kim and Alix came to the front of the ships as Marin wrapped them all together and so they pulled them along. Chloe then swam around, immobilising the propellors of the ships so that they couldn't fight against the group.

Only a few hours to go. Meanwhile, in the back of the ship, Marinette and Kagami were moving them using their powers, as for Kagami, her water dragon. It was a lot of hard work, but thanks to the lilies, they managed.

Selina: What The Hell Is Going On!?!?!

Captain 1: It seems as thought the propellors have stopped and we're all being pulled in the same direction.

Captain 2: We can't be freed.

Selina: Well do something! We need to find the boys!

Captain 3: Maybe you should get some rest, Miss Kyle, it's getting late. We'll wake you if anything. But for now there's nothing we can do.

Batfamily
Dick: The moon's almost up.

Tim: Do you think they got to the ships in time?

Jason: If there's anything I've learnt, is that these mermaids have a lot of guts and spirit. And if pixie is leading them, I think I can safely say that they will succeed.

In his voice, there was bit of sadness. He will be leaving behind a new life he got to live...and someone who was dear to him in the process.

Flashback

Jason: You sure you don't wanna see the surface? It'll be fun~

Marin: Yeah..as tempting as it sounds, no. My place is down here with mom and dad. It always has been. I guess..I've been wanting the same for Marinette.

Jason: Well..all you could do is watch her grow up and support her.

Marin: Yeah. Looks like you're the one giving me brother tips. Thanks, Jason, you made living down here a little more life-threatening and exciting.

Jason: That's what fun is. Sure you're not a grandpa, dude?

Marin: Positive. Take care of my little sister for me, man.... And yourself.

Jason: I'll leave that to demon spawn. Thanks, and you too.

He held out his hand out to Marin with a grin. Marin took it, yanking it with him in tow. Their faces were a few inches away as Marin smirked at Jason's face full of blush. "Now you know how it feels." he chuckled. Jason pouted as Marin tilted his head downward, kisses his forehead. "I'm gonna miss you, birdie." Jason reached his head up as his lips made contact with his. Marin fell into the kiss deeper and deeper. "Imma miss you too, Marin."

Bruce: Boys, let's get to the pool.

They all swam out of the cave and into the underwater cove into the pool. The moon was almost overhead. Damian kept looking back, hoping that Marinette would show up.

Flashback

Marinette: ...- That's the plan.

Damian: Are you sure you'll be back in time?

Marinette: Duh, of course. Like I'd miss the opportunity of a lifetime. I finally convinced Marin to let me go by myself.

Damian: You didn't need to make that deal with the Mayor because of us.

Marinette: You told me this once, and I'm gonna say it to you now.
Anything..for you. *smiles*

He sighed remembering the memory, her eyes sparkling, as the water began to bubble. Their tails fazed in and out between fins and feet. Once the moon subsided moving away from the volcano opening, the boys got out and squeezed the water out of their clothes. They exited the way they recalled they entered. They were back to the river in the forest. They traveled to the beach as they saw the moon setting.

They looked up at the stars, waiting for the sun to rise and their ships to arrive.
