If somebody tended to ask a teenage version of myself, "If you could pick a cartoon/anime to be reborn in, where would it be?" Normally, I'd respond with Gravity Falls, Naruto, or Hunter x Hunter.
I was on a roadtrip with my family to the beach, and...
(Flashback starts when the trio jump right out of the portal to the siblings' room. The portal disappears)
Star: Woo, that... that was something! We all ruled back there! Also, nice job inspiring those princesses out there, Marco and Nick!
Marco: We just had to do what heroes would do!
Nick: (Smiles sheepishly) Thanks...
Star: Nick, what was that thing about when you mentioned this Beyond Birthday dude twice?
Marco: Oh, yeah, I've also been curious about that title! So, who or what is that guy, anyway?
Nick: Well... how can I explain this? He's from one of my favorite novels called "Los Angeles BB Murder Cases," which is a prequel to the anime Death Note.
Marco: The show you introduced me to as my first anime?
Nick: Yeah, that one.
Star: Nick, I don't get it...! You know about anime for who knows how long now, and... back on Mewni, there is no such thing as a Japanese cartoon! So, how could you possibly know about that?
Nick: (Sighs) Remember that one time where I told you two about my favorite shows?
(Star and Marco nod, confused looking)
Nick: About that, the last show I mentioned, Starlight, is actually called Star vs. The Forces of Evil. (Goes to his bag and takes out his phone. He comes back to where he was, opens it up, and goes to Google to type it up.) See?

Star: THAT'S ME!!
Marco: A-and me!!
Star: Oh, wow, we're in a TV show? Like, actually? (Realizes) Wait... Nick, why aren't you here?
Nick: Here's the thing... I'm not supposed to be here...
Marco and Star: What?
Nick: I don't belong here... Star, I'm not really your twin brother. I come from another world, where Star vs. The Forces of Evil is just a TV show, and was my favorite up until middle school. I was on the way to the beach with my other family, when suddenly, everything got black, and woke up here, reborn as Nick Johansen. At first I thought this was a dream, but nope! It wasn't in the end... honestly, I have NO IDEA of why I would be sent here of all shows...
Star: Oh wow...
Marco: If this is all a show to you, then how many seasons does it have?
Nick: Four of them, and we're almost done with the first one. (Sighs sadly) I never would've thought I would die randomly and be reborn into a show the past version of myself always wanted to be in! And of course, I had to be a boy reborned, and not a girl.
Marco: Hold on, reborn as a boy...?
Star: So you were a girl before? Do you remember anything in your previous life?
